Landcruiser 70 Winch Install - Fieryred 13000lbs - 76 series - Custom Install - Driveway Mods

Welcome back Guys, in this video we treat the Landcruiser to a new winch , its the fieryred 130000lbs winch from vic offroad. To install this i have to remove the bullbar and it becomes quite a job. Owen comes over to lend a hand with lifting and we get it done.

Nice one. I too don't like the control box sitting on top of the bullbar, usually between the driving lights like you see often. I prefer it to have it stealth mounted. And I agree that you don't just throw your old winch rope. You can use parts of it to make a bridle, or an emergency winch extension rope, or if you like to splice ropes, make a few soft shackles from it. I hope you put a coat a paint on the bit of your bullbar you cut out to make a channel for your aerial cable. I hate to see rust eat away on your nice bullbar.

Thanks for the content Shad. Looks like this winch is made by Sunyee. Have bought one of their solar panels some years ago which was rubbish so hopefully their winch is better. Look forward to any feedback from you and others regarding this model winch. Particularly compared to a Kings winch (similar price point) . Cheers

Thanks mate , yes made in china I would say but I actually never checked 😂😂. A bit more expensive than a kings and the quality looks good but time and use will definitely tell. Im not a fan of king but thier dominator winch is pretty good, my son has one on his car and it goes alright and its had a bit of use. That's a lot of work Shad. You might need to old rope as a winch extension if you get stuck a long way from something solid

You reckon re-spooling under tension is the way to go? I might give it a go that way too!

@@happyguy61 yeah i think so , then its on nice and tight , seen a lot of winch ropes just slipping under load. Remember though 6-7 wraps just by hand before any load 👍

Hey SHAD, well done on the install, I have the fieryred 13000lbs whinch on the Mux, only used it once on someone else but performed well. I want to move the control box to somewhere inside the bar like you have done (one day) . I have an isolator to fit also but don't want it under the bonnet so will need to get some more cable to bring it back on to the bar. Did you put an isolator in.?

Hey mate, no I didn’t use an isolator on mine. Yes you will definitely need some longer cables , the originals are a bit short. Thanks for watching 👍👍
