@Mike, great video. I have a 1980 FJ43 and I'm also looking to upgrade to the LED H4/9003. Will these same lights work for my rig? Thanks

They should. H4 socket and bulb attachment is the same over all years. Funny, the same bulb will work in my Gen 2 Tacoma. I like them and they are still in my Cruiser.

Hey Mike, great channel and content. I've got an '87 FJ60 and looking to upgrade as well. How'd these Auxito LEDs compare to the Putco LEDs you had in there before? Thx

Thanks for commenting. The Putco lights are better but they also have a hefty price tag. I did get questioned a few times about them from the police. They also don’t look very “stock” and make the front end more modern looking. The Putco are fantastic lights but for the money, you can get LED H4 replacements bulbs and separate LED driving/spot light for 1/2 the cost and not get hassled. If you have spare money burning a hole in your pocket, get the Putco. If you want similar performance for less money, get LED bulbs and dedicated driving/spot lights. Dedicated lights are also easier to align. Cheers.

Hey I love your videos. I have a question. Does the led bulb need any resistor when changing from halogen? Because mine don’t have the little box which come with the led wire

Most modern LED conversion bulbs have the built in passive circuit to make it work in most cars. The headlight adapter boxes (like the ones in this video) are more than just resistors. They are anti-flicker and/or RFI devices to make them work properly with modern cars. On my older Landcruiser, they were not needed. If you have a newer vehicle, I’d get those “Can Bus” adapters. It works with the ECU to make the LED bulbs “look” like your standard bulb. Cheers.

Is yours set up 12 or 24 volts?
@MikeFreda10 ай бұрын
My HJ60 is a 24v system BUT the headlights are 12v utilizing each battery to power each individual light. This was wired from the factory like this. Works good if each light is the same and each battery is exactly the same. Cheers.
