When you zoom in on the runway it looks like the texture hasn't loaded properly on Flight Sim. 😄

Runway 18R is 5930 ft. Global 6000 has landing requirement of 2236 ft. MTOW is 6476 ft. Can easily land on a much shorter runway but taking off again will be a problem if fully loaded.

5930' LDA at a field elevation of just 35' MSL is not a short runway for a Global or any other Bombarider bizjet for that matter - unless you're landing with failed flaps. Foreshortenighting caused by zooming in creates the illusion that the runway is shorter than it actually is. I've landed the Challenger 350 with 3800' LDA at 422' MSL field elevation and exited the runway within 3000'. These aircraft have amazing landing performance so any dry runway 5000' or longer is no great challenge for any proficient pilot.

I thought you had a damaged tire on the plane. I don't fly Bombardiers and that could have been the reason. I usually fly Golfstream and the landing feels much different.

@@av8rshane491 you fly on the broomstick, so I don’t have to worry about explaining that to you. You at least noticed that golf clubs could fit in a plane, but they aren’t my thing. Oh wait, some people use electronic devices with autocorrect spelling feature, so don’t panic each time you see a word changed to a more common one. Cheers!

@@av8rshane491 I fly a G550 on occasion, but we have a full time crew that usually flies the jet. I don’t have a channel and I don’t post anything on KZbin, but once in a while I enjoy watching others. I didn’t take it as an offense, but why the hell would you attack someone in a comment section for an innocent mistake? It probably doesn’t matter anyway. Keep your head up flyer!

@@av8rshane491 No, problem, I apologize for my response as well. The concept that you never had a Gulfstream pilot misspell it before probably remains unbroken. Before we hired pilots years ago, I wanted to fly with one of them, but then I realized that many times, I would just sit in the back and even if I had flown the plane, I would be jeopardizing the safety of the entire plane, especially during an emergency, because my experience was inferior to theirs. In that case, I told them that I would only serve as a backup pilot, in other words, a part timer, so officially I'm not a pilot of that plane. My family was happier and the crew has been with us for years. I tried to convice my son to fly it too, but he has no interest in that. I on the other hand have been flying since I was a young boy. Didn't you think of leaving your videos longer for people to view them? Your channel can grow quickly if you post interesting videos frequently. I think there is a huge market for that. I mostly follow the military guys, but civil aviation is also super cool.

5930’ runway length isn’t that short unless you are departing heavy. The Global has great stopping power with the carbon brakes and approach speeds are low due to its wing design. For standard conditions at max landing weight the unfactored landing distance is 2528’, 80% factored 3160’, so not pushing it at all and they wouldn’t be landing at max landing weight unless they were tankering fuel. At shorter runways you can run into problems at some places where the airplane is too heavy for what the runway is built for. Napa runway 19R is currently rated for 134,000 lbs so not a problem.

That is not a "short" Runway, it's well within the operating limits of the global. My plane was based in Napa, we would usually use the left Runway 18 left which is too short for a jet
@alexanderdavidson78374 жыл бұрын
Its a short runway compared to an international .. Obviously it would need to be within the limits for the global to land there... But is it long? No... Its short!

@@mrsantana9094 with a wingspan of almost 100’ and and empty weight of 55k lbs, a Global is not a small plane. It’s a medium category in wake turbulence and a “large cabin” if you are chartering it.
