You can build the docks directly on the planet and within 400 or so range you can hit dock to auto dock, and you can fly around with the planets to another to keep farming - can turn them into mini factory planets and colonist ones and add more as you go - As for conveyors and floor if you use the quickbar number for them it flips them 45 or other shapes - Fun game

You should place all your cables underneath your floor. Simply remove a block under underneath the connecting part of a machine, and go down ;)

This game as a lot of potential, thanks for showcasing it. For the power wiring, you might be able to run it under the base - you started removing some panels, so maybe you can remove the floor piece too?

I've seen this done, it makes the platform less messy but now you have a hole next to every machine! :)

Hay Z when a machine doesn’t have enough power it doesn’t turn off it just slows down If you click on the consumption bar it will show you how much power you have available

You might want to throw a storage on the planet so it doesn't jam up the instant you undock from it. Unless you want to mine it dry before leaving...

Get Scanner, then press C to scan the asteroid to see the minable vain that the Minner will dig down Place the miner on the asteroid you need to get the docking to dock the platform to the asteroid you will need a dock on both you cant connect the power from the platform FYI you will be able to add in/out belts in the docking station Hit tab or P to see the list of items like robots to allow to transfer to the asteroid that is docked Any items deleted, you can claim the resource back from the recycler I was typing this while watching :)

Yep i felt that too, tbh ever since he picked up this game. I didn't wanna be rude earlier and write this comment,but noticed that I wasn't the only one feeling this way. I dunno what's up with him, but he never took this long to figure things out, now it feels like watching paint dry, he's either struggling with something irl and it made his brain fry or he's stalling to stretch into 100 episodes for the $$$ "shrug".. :( EDIT: But this is definitely not enjoyable!!!

I've never played this, but I'm pretty certain you can run belts from the storage directly to the input of the crafting stations, so you don't have to put the materials in manually.

You should add warehouse storage to miner deck, and go to another rock/planetoids

The wire will connect directly through a floor panel. It will not connect through a foundation. With that you can run the cables under your floor.

At first they did not bring anything back because they had to dig a hole first. The drones fly to the place, remove one piece of terrain, return to the station (probably to charge again) and go back. So when you select something that is not on the surface they go back and forth a while till they can actually reach the vein.

Hey Z, there did used to be power going through the dock, but the dev took it out to completely rework it, so it will be returning at some stage, but as you are aware, there are more important bugs he is working on atm :)

hey z love your videos heres my suggestion you should put a storage on the planet so when you leave it still gathering while your off exploring and have the belt hooked to the storage so when you dock again you can just pull up dock unload the storage then leave while the miners fill the storage again for you

Have you considered that maybe the Miners off your Station didn't mine because they couldn't reach the resources either? Also, you had stairs right there. They can probably use stairs.

you have to uncover the resource before miners will go mine it and you should use scanner to see all the buried resources and confirm you have what you are trying to mine on the planetoid. Not all resources are on every planetoid. power doesn't transfer (you may notice they are not on the same grid so you can't connect wires together).

This is probably just because it's early game, but it looks like you'll start getting to a point where planitoids will become consumed to produce specific items instead of just raw resources. You'll start cherry picking planetoids that have exactly the resources needed to build the item you need to mass produce from the raw resources up. You'll start hopping from place to place just to pick up the outputs.

Apparently the dock did transfer power as well as the belts but it’s been removed to be reworked. Must not have worked properly.

you can use your jetpack to fly to the other planets without bringing your station everywhere. you just have to be careful of your oxygen. when you remove miners you lose the miner and the materials you made them with. they seem to get stuck easily.

After reading through the comments I had to come in here and say don't sweat it Z... I'm playing it too, the mining thing is not easy to figure out... Bit of a pain TBH. If anything you could have edited out all of the failed attempts and just cut into where you figured it out, but yeah... It's not the greatest the way it's setup in the game. Hopefully they will improve it.

The drones are a little disappointing, both in mechanics and how slow they travel. It would be cool if the moving colony could be a carrier, it would solve lots of issues. Who would want to stay on the same little plant for so long?

I'm only half way through and i'm praying that it don't take the entire vid before you choose iron for them to mine a resource that is on fragment because i don't see carbon on it but who knows because i've seen vids were you ignore the rules and end up getting killed but you know i love those vids so don't change just cut stuff out please. I know it will sound against character but i do like seeing you succeed and accomplish something i just don't like waiting 30 minutes for it to happen. That said when will the wife be playing this?
