Story 1: Okay, how has this guy not been reported or sued here? This guy is among the absolte worst of the worst landlords out there. If i were the OP, and other people, i probably would've taken photos of the place the day you moved in and the day you left and then challenged him in court. He was clearly just fleecing all of his tennants here. Hopefully the OP is doing much better here and that the local homeless people are grateful. Story 2: No way is the OP a jerk here.... and how is the OP potentially moving seen as "abandoning" the dad here? The whole family here is very unreasonable here in the OP's apartment here. I know i would be either putting my foot down here or moving out. OP needs to find a way to get away from everyone i say. Story 3: No, not the jerk in the least. If the brother is known for being messy, and he's a full-grown adult, then there's no way i would allow him to move in. Also, don't try and use his crash injuries as an excuse or reason to try and get him to move in either. Right now, he sounds pretty lazy to me and the OP shouldn't have to deal with him. Anyone on the brothers side here should take him in instead. Story 4: No way would the OP be a jerk here... but nevermind the anonymous review, i would be calling a tow company to get him out of that spot. You can't park illegally in a handicap spot like that without a permit, and because you are the 'boss'. ust because you own the lot doesn't mean you can ignore the handicap spot. Enjoy telling that to a judge or doctor if the OP or someone else who needed that spot fell and got hurt in their lot. They wont be so uncaring then. Story 5: No way is the OP a jerk here, and if this is the way the brother is here and the family is always on his side, then i say limit contact with them or just not go to gatherings. This guy isn't a little kid anymore, he's apparently 30 and is married.... yet he acts like he is 3. How does everyone always take his side? Sounds like a golden man-child to me. I'd avoid him at all costs. Story 6: OP isn't a jerk at all here, but the OP really shouldn't have been coddling and bailing out the roommate here. I understand live being tough at times, but it really sounds to me like the roommate is just taking advantage of the OP here, and then having sour grapes when she doesn't get her way or get money. I personally wouldn't want to have her as a roommate. She doesn't sound very good here. Story 7: OP isn't a jerk at all. The gf is being extremely petty here, and has a "my way or the highway" mindset. She's pretty insistant on this festival or nothing, which really isn't fair here. The OP has stated that she can go with friends, since he isn't interested, but now she wants to try and cancel their other holiday? I don't think so there. Honestly, i would be re-thinking the relationship here. Something tells me that something like this has happened before, and will very likely happen again.
