$4,000 is a big price for a scooter but it's not just anyway scooter. You get what you pay for. I have a rode bike from 1990 where I paid $3,000 for it. Big price for a pedal bike but I got my money's worth since it gave me so much enjoyment and health benefits, both physcial and emotional. 32 years later and still no regrets.

Thank you for a great review. As a car, motorcycle, eScooter, and bicycle owner, I struggle to see what element this GT2 is built for. 1) It is far too powerful to be used on paths with pedestrians, bicycles, and low power e-scooters 2) A high power stand-up eScooter is incredibly dangerous on roads with cars and trucks. Hitting a pothole at speed can be an horrible accident as most riders eScooter riders I see wear little body protection 3) At over 100 lbs, this will not be a daily commuter scooter as workplaces will not let you bring it into the office and I would not want to leave it locked on the street. 4)The Segway eMoped C80 is about the same weight and almost $1,200 less. I vote for a Segway eMoped C100 (not a real configuration) with a more powerful motor that would be just as fast but infinitely safer.
@landpet2 жыл бұрын
This would be a great commuter scooter assuming you are allowed to take it into your workplace to leave it somewhere safe. It’s also just plain fun to ride!

Not sure I see the point of this scooter either. Sure, I would ride the hell out of it and love it, but being able to go 43-45 mph and feel stable could be huge trouble when you hit a stretch of sketchy road, have to suddenly slow way down and/or swerve to avoid wiping out, get smacked by a car. Hope you're wearing an airbag vest and full gear at that point.
@nepaliprayasgurung25942 жыл бұрын
@@Mr_BUSINESS_24_7 I agree the design is amazing and futuristic looking. But I can easily get Apollo Phantom, Wolf GT King or King Pro at 1,500 to 1,700 and less on FB marketplace and Dualtron Eagle and city with same 40+ speed and same if not better range. For less then 2K. So i'll pass on Segway GT2 the price on this scooter is no way justifable spending near 5k. When you can buy electric scooters high end model that goes upto 40 to 60 miles range and 40-50+mph at much more affordable price. *This scooter is targeted for electric scooter enthusiasts who wants beefy specs and top notch design or for some rich or wealthy person to mindlessly blow their money on whatever high end products they can buy just to show off as a status symbol and brag about it!*

Good review! I have an Apollo Phantom V2 60V, and I plan to sell it to maybe buy the Segway GT2. You who seem to have the Phantom, do you think it's worth the investment? The suspension, the weight, and more slack head angle seem to improve handling. Is there a big difference in the feel of the suspension? Is the autonomy and superior to the Phantom? With my weight of 235lbs, and the speed I ride, I get a range between 40 and 45km. I want more!
@landpet2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I'm actually planning on making a video between this and my Phantom and also a more budget scooter to talk about the differences. First impressions: This thing is much more stable at high speeds because of its weight The acceleration is also stronger on this and you can feel the difference This thing feels much higher quality than the Phantom I don't know if you have hydraulic brakes on your Phantom but I have the mechanical brakes and I will say the brakes on this thing are phenomenal, much better than the Phantom. Is it worth double the price? probably not but honestly, it's much better than my Phantom. To summarize: On paper, it's not much better than the Phantom but in real life, there's a much more noticeable difference. The specs don't do this thing justice! Now with that, if this was selling for 3K, it would be flying off the shelves!
@mariorock762 жыл бұрын

You DO KNOW that the fact that you lose acceleration as the battery Drains Isn't a fault of the scooter.. That's just called PHYSICS. Any battery powered vehicle is going to do the same thing. Same with my E-bike as my 52v battery goes down to about half power or less I start to lose the nice acceleration and top speed to. But a design flaw or bad thing about the unit it's just the nature of any battery powered device be it scooter, flashlight, etc
@landpet2 жыл бұрын
I do know that but usually the power drop can happen when the battery is at a much lower state of charge like 5% or less which is the case for some of my other scooters. At 30% on this, there is a drastic reduction of acceleration compared to 31%, that is something they are doing to protect the battery but I feel like they could do that a little later at least at 10%.

Your second bad thought about the scooter isn't valid. Every scooter will lose acceleration power as the battery charge depletes, it's just how lithium-ion batteries work. Nothing to do with this specific scooter, so not really a downside.
@landpet2 жыл бұрын
Most scooters are like this but not all scooters. Some are pretty fast until they get to about less than 5% battery. I should’ve been a little more clear, right around 30% there’s a drastic reduction in acceleration that wasn’t there before. Granted, generally speaking I do agree with what you said the same is true for my Tesla, acceleration is fastest when the batteries have a higher state of charge.

enough with this speed nonsense. give me a scooter with proper mileage and weather tolerance or perhaps even ability to transform it to winter use like one would with a MB and you have a scooter worth buying. this one is just for middleaged worker drones who are not that eager to admit they have one helluva age crisis. and the speed? lets face it, 90% of us EV users have a rot in our brains. sry, anything above 25km/h and our collective driving habits is just going to get more people irritated of us for a good reason. hard pass. mileage over everything.

This seems more on the fun side, I like these more powerful ones (granted this one does cost quite a bit) since they do hills without issue.

At 3000$ u can buy a Toyota
@billgangsta5392 жыл бұрын
sure you can. you can buy a lot of stuff with 3k. the point is not everyone needs-likes the same things.
@landpet2 жыл бұрын
Yup, you can. Granted this is much cheaper to operate, no registration (at least in the US), no smog check, no oil change, no gas, just charge and go. Granted a Toyota would be much more useful when going far or shopping of any kind.

I understand that I am dealing with a brand of great prestige, for me that is Mercedes (a German car brand of great prestige here in the EU) of the ELECTRIC SCOOTERS, and with the value of 4,000.00 dollars, I don't understand why it doesn't have a simple seat for so that the person can have more comfort on a longer trip. It's a bit ridiculous...! TENTION SEGUWAY, IF THEY SELL WITH A BANK, HERE FOR HOME I WILL BUY TWO, ONE FOR ME AND ONE FOR MY COMPANY. THINK ABOUT IT !!!
@landpet2 жыл бұрын
Probably would be nice to have the option for a seat. I personally don't take these on long trips, so comfort is not normally an issue.
