I am astounded every time I see what a rugged, simple, purpose built vehicle can accomplish. I have a 1966 S2A 88” that makes me smile every time I drive it. It is practically unstoppable in 2wd. In 4wd low; it could conquer the world. ( and they have). Just found this channel and subscribed. Thanks for this!👌

@@lowgearclassicmotorsport Thank You. My Landy was still a daily worker on a cattle ranch near Fresno up until last fall. It needs a lot of TLC but purrs like a kitten and is rust free. They are rare here in California and most have been over restored and modified. (Trophy cars) I intend to keep mine original, just clean it up, and make it mechanically solid and reliable. I am a retired aircraft mechanic and this is the perfect hobby for me. My wife was skeptical at first but loves it. Every time I start it up she wants to go for a ride.👍👍 It is perfect for exploring the many wildlife preserves and national parks here in California. It is a lucky man whose wife shares his hobby interests. Cheers.

Very interesting, however 2 important rules of off-road driving must be observed: 1: Keep a distance from the front vehicle to give it a chance to back-up and take another cut at a difficult section and 2: Get out of 4WD when taking sharp turns. This makes the turning circle smaller and also prevents excessive strain on drivetrain components.
