Not only do I love your skills and willingness to get stuck in but your self-detracting humour is great. Thanks for sharing and keep it up

Hi Max, Randomly just seen one of your new videos on my feed and I am super interested in living off grid like you. I am 34 with a wife, 3 kids and a mega stressful job.. hoping I might be able to make a similar decision one day. Decided to start watching of your videos from the earliest one. Keep up the good work fella and thank you.. Jamie

I think "Hilarious" is exactly the amount of tyres you had there. While I will almost certainly never get to live off grid, I have always loved the Defender - since I was rescued by a life guard driving one on the Isle of Wight when I was a 3yr old - it might even be the one in the video :)

Production wise I have to say they start off pretty terribly and only get a little better as they go on! The Sankey trailer is in a bad way at the moment, but on the list for restoration and we have plans to use it as part of the organ project.

The difference between the UK and Australia in this instance is if I were to go grab all those old wheels out from behind the barn I would have needed fire and gloves for all the spiders that would have manifested themselves inside them...

Bloody enjoyed that, just watched the lot in one go. And I must say picked up a few tips even with having a few to many of Solihull finest over the years

Good luck - just keeping plodding on is the secret - one day you'll run out of jobs to do and it will be done (I'm not there quite yet!).

If the steering has gone ridiculously stiff it's probably just the paxolin bushes swollen in the steering transfer shaft. If so some TLC there may pay dividends.

Bought a set of 5 new tyres for my old Disco for £199.94 delivered to my door in 2017 from a well know on line tyre supplier... Downside was paying £25 to loose the old ones at the recycling centre... Also don't drive with rattling tappets it will damage them. On my 200 I had to set the injector pump retarded one tooth on the belt to get the injector timing right so engine sounded good & wasn't blowing the head gasket. Follow Haynes advice at your peril. If it sounds like a bag of nails it is to advanced, Smoke too retarded, Correct no smoke & sounds good...
