I like your sense of humour as you begin your vlogs keeps them nice and light and a little Harry Worthesque! Love the photos Craig of one of my favourite lakes and how you go about setting up your compositions, some handy tips there too so a good learning exercise for myself as I've just taken up photography. I particularly like how you mention what you are using etc for my next shopping trip to the local camera shop! I loved the spirit level on the hotshoe close up as I thought at first it may have been a flash bulb ;)

Lucky you! The weather, the clouds, the light are important components of what you call "composition".The death of long exposure photography would be windy or even stormy weather! What I find really interesting is your idea of good light. Many of your video shots show light that I would not consider as suitable usually because to me it looks flat. You take your shot and suddenly a fine picture emerges. I must try harder!

ah, did not make the connection, sorry. I am in the middle of a Lake District project (long project) having realised I have been visiting the place for 40 years and I don't have a decent set of images - lots of pictures but few I would want to hang on the wall! I did a dawn session at the top end of Crummock in November. Magical place, which I see you have been to. Keep up the good work Gary.

I convert later John. But I often advise those who aren't used to shooting in black and white to set their camera to B&W, just so you get a visual guide on the LCD screen of the effect. That helps a lot.

Is MFT the right tool for landscape photography? It's light for traveling yes and you can use larger aperture and shutter speeds to get everything sharp in the frame. But I found this grain in shadows and sky relatively too much annoying for my taste compared to APS-C and Full Frame. A 5D and a 24-70 + 70-200 are pretty heavy though ... A EOS M with a 10-18, 17-50 and 55-250 is a pretty small and light alternative. Did I miss anything?
