What a fabulous set of images. I really find woodland photography quite challenging; trying to find some order out of nature's chaos. The fog really semmes to help, simplifies the scenes and is so atmospheric. Can't wait for some foggy days now.

I always look forward to another video from you, Craig. I used to wait for holidays to get to all the great scenery around the UK (only to have to share it with other togs), but your skill at finding the right image within the background noise shows that everywhere has its charms. It really is about composition

Thank you Craig, I enjoyed your video. I'm rather envious of the type of woods you have in Britain as in NZ its all overgrown "bush" and a massive tangle that is most often impossible to make sense of in camera. I am very interested to know the music you used for this video it was beautiful... if you don't mind sharing that is :-)

This was just the medicine my camera needed. Every time I've tried to take foggy photos they turn out very noisy. So I'll try the ISO 200 and +1 or so and see if I can get them. I live by a fishing river that is often foggy here in the northwest. Now I'm anxious to try again. So, a BIG thank you. Appreciate it very much

Really nice images, thank you for sharing them! I did notice that almost all of the images were taken at eye level, but most of the interesting colors and textures are much closer to the ground. There is some beautiful green moss on the tree roots, for example. Bring something to keep you dry if you sit or kneel.

I enjoy this type of photography a lot but I have a lot of difficulty seeing the scene when there is no fog or mist and then imagining it with so that I know where to go. Seems each time I find the right conditions, I'm there without my camera so I am trying to be a little more deliberate in my excursions. Do you scout locations ahead of time and wait for the foggy day or just wait for the foggy day and go find something?
@e6Vlogs
@e6Vlogs 6 жыл бұрын
I knew of these woods beforehand and saw the potential of some added mist. I just waited for the right day and headed out. Saves waking up to great conditions and then trying to find somewhere to shoot.
