Only one word for it. Amazing. Just got round to watching as i nipped up to Assynt. I think i will give up on the selfies. I fell in the loch down from Stac pollaidh trying to get one. My nice new jacket is now black.

Great photos. If you ever go back try the Race Track (not an easy drive on ties) and the Kilns are Wildrose are popular. The other big draw of DV is Milky Way shots but clouds do get in the way.

Indeed it is a wonderful place. I went to Artist’s Palette it didn’t have the light. Got some amazing images though. The light at Zabriskie was incredible.

We went a few years ago from the UK expecting >100°C and it chucked it down, they had to use snow ploughs to open the roads after all the mud slides. A day later I got up at 4am for sunrise at Zabriskie and it the car thermometer read 104°C at that time in the morning, madness.

Oh it brings back sweet memories when I was there in April. That was before the flood and how different Badwater Basin looks now... Beautiful photos, well captured the essence of this location.

If you head down the track to the devils golf course, just before the bend at the bottom look over to your right….it’s about 100 meters of the road track.
