I totally agree with you Izzy, there is NO substitute for working to get the best image possible. Take care and keep taking your stunning shots. 👏

I'd really like a behind the scenes video some week on how you manage a three camera set-up as well as three tripods, plus a camera bag and a dog! Incredible! Beautiful images as always as you progressed through twilight into sunrise. I agree with you on the software/AI argument. I am infamous for going back and back to a location until I get it right. The only time I can ever see where that might be needed is from a once in a lifetime trip/location that you might not be able to return to. Anyhow, great video as always pal. Hope you are doing well, have a wonderful week down there!

I've got two hands and a backside, that's all i can say 😂. Thank you for joining me buddy and commenting on the AI debate. I can't say never as you are correct if I wanted to save an image from an iconic once in a lifetime trip I might be tempted... but then it means I'd have to do sky replacement and all that jazz 😂. Hope you are all wonderful and enjoying life. Have a great weekend up there in the North 🙏🙏🙏

Very much agree what you were saying about the Ai. Well another amazing location Izzy producing some brilliant images, I did change my mind a few times but finally settled on the image at 16:40 just loved it. Well Done Izzy and thank you for sharing you outings with us, enjoy your week and I'll look forward to next week, keep well.

I recall your previous clip at this location, Izzy. I think you tackled those old pier-posts more front-on. Different images this time, but still gorgeous and spectacular at the same time. I agree with you re AI. Seeing you meticulously compose a photo, and tend to minute details shows how important the process is, and also how enjoyable. (I really enjoy that part too though I am not good at it and I realized a while ago that I tend to remain at a location as long as I can because it's ...nice.)

So true buddy, I just love working the landscape. That's why I return to some of them to squeeze a bit more out of them. As you can see the conditions were really different from last time. Different conditions and different challenges and beating those challenges and grabbing an mage you are proud of is just priceless. Have a great weekend 🙏🙏🙏

Stunners Izzy! Those last two - the 16:9 had a birdie on a post and the last one, just a bit of texture in the water. I loooovvve LE but sometimes a shorter LE is just magic. I agree about AI, it can be good but if you are serious about photography, either professionally or as hobbyist, the only way to get better is to learn YOURSELF. After all, AI is only someone else's learning and not your own. Shall I get down from the soapbox and just enjoy the veiw and the fact that I AM LEARNING? BTW....Did your wellies fill with water again? Take care, glad your shoulder is getting better and give Raffy an extra cuddle from aunty H

Thank you as always Helen, your kind words are a welcome salve for the soul. I just love you on your soapbox, keep at it 😂. As for the wellies, yes completely 😂. Have a great weekend 🙏🙏🙏

Always interesting to see how high you can get your tripod Izzy! Beautiful photos as always - the last image was my fave in particular. You're spot on that we need to learn from our failures in order to develop our skills and shouldn't rely on AI to fix our images. I suppose there's always a balance to things. It might be great to salvage an image that is otherwise great, or if it's unlikely you'll return to a location. I guess it's not much different from using PS to add extra canvas to a photo that wasn't perfectly composed? Or using highlight sliders to recover highlights from an image that wasn't perfectly exposed? Always an interesting topic of discussion! Thanks for sharing! 🙏👍😊📸
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography10 ай бұрын
Thanks Val, much appreciated. Glad you enjoyed the adventure. AI is here for good I'm just setting boundaries for myself. I don't think I would use expand canvas (but never say never). But i think its wrong to take an image on KZbin then recover it. I'd scrap the video or just show it warts and all. As for highlights I don't think that's the same. You can judge the dynamic range of your camera and if you expose to the right to save the shadows recovering the highlights is just adjusting what has already been captured rather than adding in data that wasn't part of the original shoot. That's why I take so many images 😂. Have a great weekend 🙏🙏🙏

cracking sky Izzy - looked like a fluffy blanket thrown over the sea!! the image at 9:08 if cropped square would make for a super LP album cover (remember them???) computational photography and AI is sadly the next step. it started with digital cameras, then phones (everyone's a photographer) and now this (AI) will mean anyone can be a good photographer. some will say "so what?" - as long as the moment is captured that's all that counts. Maybe it'll lead to a resurgence in film even more, where those who crave a challenge in their art will go down that route?
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography10 ай бұрын
Cheers Nick, I think it just might too 😂 . I don't mind digital cameras, or phones, or even drones, for when using them you have intentionality (meaning YOU the creator has a degree of intentionality). With AI that isn't present or if it is it is someone else's will and vision that determines the outcome. For me that is defining factor and what relegates it to a lower form of creativity. Hark listen to me prattle on 😂. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏

I always think I might not find any new comments about your work, but I loved this video with the variations in horizon line and exposure time. This location was made for your style without a doubt! And I agree, I am not on board with AI. Although there have been lots of creative advances in photography and processing, and I use some of them, it just seems to go a step beyond the basic philosophy/skill of the art.
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography10 ай бұрын
Thank you Juanita, you are correct that all the advances in our cameras and in editing software are fantastic but AI generative fill and fixing focus just seems a little too far for me. Have a great weekend 🙏🙏🙏
@barryaitken976111 ай бұрын
Yeah Izzy Ai can go overboard but sometimes a slight help does recover some aspects of the shot. The purists can even argue that using a grad filter is " cheating" . Everything in moderation. Enjoyed your vlog once again. Barry.
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography10 ай бұрын
Thank you Barry and you are spot on moderation in all things. it might just be that I enjoy the challenge of nailing everything in the field, I don't get that sense of achievement letting a piece of software 'fix' an image. Have a great weekend 🙏🙏🙏

Hi izzy you find some amazing places to photograph.. I'm with you on the AI front I dont even have photoshop so I just keep going back and like you said it's a learning curve.
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography10 ай бұрын
Cheers Ivor, its a hard discussion, on the one hand editing lifts and brings an image to life but go too far and its no longer your image. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏

@@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography I’m not against photoshop to polish a photo I just don’t have it ..I just think AI going to far making things that aren’t there if you know what I mean ..have a great week looking forwards to your next video.

Another great video Izzy. They just keep coming and I look forward to every one. Is there any particular reason you chose the GFX 100 over the 100s? They are both on offer here in the UK at very reasonable prices.
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography10 ай бұрын

More great images Izzy - well done! I particularly like the last image at 17:10 with the much shorter shutter speed. The movement and light in the water is terrific. I'm curious about your Promaster tripod? What model is it - and do you like it? I might be in the market for an extra tripod. Anyway, keep up the great work and videos. Cheers!
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography10 ай бұрын
Cheers Alan, the tripod is a Promaster SP543C, I love it and have used it for about 4 years now. I may be in the market for another later this year or early next (not that its showing any signs of age yet)... all down to washing it out after every shoot I think. Have a great weekend 🙏🙏🙏

Nice images, so whats your secret to keeping your tripod from moving, when using long exposures and the waves battering your tripod.
@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography9 ай бұрын
Cheers Mike, I pull the legs in slightly and then push them deep in the sand as the water comes in (they go in further in wet sand). That way the tripod just doesn't move and it will allow you to take long and super-long exposures without a worry. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏
