To your comment at 12:18, that was us last weekend! Our first visit there, and the last spot on our VI bucket list before leaving this beautiful landscape. I’ll certainly miss it, but as always stunning images of these stoic giants that I hope continue to endure.

Adam, I love your stuff. Watching this particular video gave me an idea to make sure I have someone suitably dressed with me to provide perspective to large trees. Then, while watching your B roll walking through these trees, I thought about photographing these in low light conditions/after dark with a model and different forms of lighting. Thanks! You always add value to the photography community!

Adam, the images are exceptional! I would definitely hang such on my wall. When you were walking among the trees you were looking like a dwarf in the woods :). By the way IMHO you have the best channel about landscape photography. Always very educational and interesting content

Adam - that composition demo you did with your vlog camera was the proverbial dogs bollards ! Just to have it explained while watching it on screen without cut's or dissolves is literally the best teaching aid I've seen anyone use. Particularly great for people like me who struggle with composition. Would love to see more particularly with wide angle's / seascapes etc - maybe even use the video from the actual camera itself. Anyway brilliant , thx.

Dignity, some sort of will or spirit of those trees, those are the things I always feel from your images of the forest. Especially the image of 20:20(Two pano one) those elements are so revealing that I even feel some fear. Those trees looks like old sages from the ancient world. And the music suits those images perfectly. It enhances the theme which I think you wanted to express. Excellent.

This video would have to be rated as beyond superb. Your total focus /time and effort spent on the PERFECT composition is an inspiration to all of us. My jaw always drops on the quality of the shots you get in these places where I would, probably, just walk by. My favourite is the final one (around 20 mins in the video). The forests we have here in southern Finland are very busy photographically (not unlike what you show around 10 mins) so it would be *really* interesting to see what kind of compositions you would get out of our woodlands!
@carlreid41614 жыл бұрын
Great explanation Adam from 12:58 on setting up your composition I found that really useful as you walked in looking at the separation. I value the technical aspect you give to your compositions they're really thought provoking. I think this was the best of the images for me, apart from the Arbutus example of course! I will have to remember those little subtle movements of both camera and feet! I also really like how you showcase the images set to music adding drama and also by ceasing your narrative during the showcase. When you display the RAW image and transition to the post image could you consider annotating that also detailing crop, aspect ratio etc as I think that would be useful to others also. Thanks Adam a great vlog this week!
