+Joe Allam The G7X is great. The difficulty I have is talking to the lens rather than talking to the screen. I feel vulnerable near sand though. I already have grains on the inside of the glass.

+Thomas Heaton Ah yeah I know I feeling. Recently with all the vlogging I've been doing, I've become really good at talking to the lens, that I don't notice the screen. But with that, I also have the fear afterwards of "did I actually press record?" It's kinda like the vlogging equivalent of "did I lock the front door?" Luckily I've not got sand in mine, and I have no idea how you'll solve that? Hopefully the lens focused beyond it?

Hey Thomas, I came across your video's the other day and I must say I really love your passion and dedication in your art. I've done a bit of landscape photography over the years (mainly seascapes, sunsets, long exposure's etc) and your videos have inspired me to get out and do more landscape shooting. I'd normally opt for the cliche'd wide angle lens but after watching your videos I'm going to experiment with longer lenses, and play with compressing perspective.I love the way you find a good composition and wait patiently for the perfect light to make it a great photo. Keep up the good work! :-)

Liked how you shown the tree and visually walked us through your composition. In several of your videos you don't seem to do that so much, you'll often discuss your ideas but don't point your camcorder (gopro?) towards the scene. Hi Thomas The cloud and tree are fantastic, I live in Cumbria could you please tell me the location of this tree,seeing that you did not use filters, as a rough guide what was your setting for the shot. Again thank you Thomas always love your outings. Re, the strong wind I adopted an idea from professional photographer Guy Edwards were I bought 3 stainless steel 6 inch spikes from Speed Graphic and got my local engineering shop to fit them to my carbon tripod and they work great. Also another good tip is to use a dog tether spiral corkscrew effect from a pet shop for extreme weather conditions and place a webbing strap through the tether, the up and around the top of your tripod. You may think that this is overkill but we all know soft images by camera movement is a killer. Best regards, Allan Davies

Hey Thomas, what gopro case are you using? the audio recording is good. Are you using the waterproof case or the skeleton?
