Enjoyed both videos of this Gordale Scar area, it is another place I did not know existed and what a fantastic place it is. Must hurry up there next year and get a camper van and tour the lot. Superb work Paul.

There's a lot to miss about the UK landscape, I've been in Australia for 28 years and I do miss the geographical variations in such a compact space AND particularly the long dusks. Once the sun goes down here you literally have 20 to 30 minutes before it's dark!

Still going in reverse order Paul... Beautiful locale btw. You have clearly illustrated, shooting into the sun is doable. I like the tack sharp foreground ( rocks ) with the nice end of day colors in the sky with some sun rays thrown in... Well done sir, Bill Farr... :-)

Hi Paul, Came across your channel by accident and have just watched both videos and thoroughly enjoyed them. I liked the image at the foot of the fall looking back towards Gordale Bridge (after the sun came out) & think it's one of the best I,vet seen for some time, much better than the same old view looking up the waterfall. Enjoyed part two as well, great tips re sun flare (thanks Jimmy) and liked the pre sunset the best. Looking forward to the next session Cheers

Hi Paul...I was at Gordale a few weeks ago and also took a walk to Malham Cove, only problem I had was the amount of people there! Was really hard getting shots of the waterfall with so many people walking through shot all the time :( Definitely a midweek spot if you can get the time off work! Thanks for the vid mate, I'm working my way through them!

Cannot make my mind up if I liked Pt1 more for your tenacity and because of the genuine wobble in your voice…..you were clearly very moved by the gorge…..or Pt2 for that blending tip which, is genius! Thoroughly brilliant as ever Paul. Oh, saw your battery was getting a bit low at the end there…..hope you had a spare marinading in your pants?? ;-)

Thanks Ian. I went through three batteries but thank goodness my pants weren't needed. The scar is an awes inspiring place and I've seen a few in my time :)

It was only last week I discovered Jimmy and Raya Pro so I'm getting to grips with it. I watched the thumb top video, thank you for mentioning it too and I just need to be out in the mountains now when there isn't so much fog around to try it out. I really like your videos, looking forward to seeing more.

Paul , thanks for the kind words. Jimmy does some great videos. I haven't used the software as LR and the basics of photo shop seem to work at the moment. However it does look a brilliant piece of kit.

I'm not working this week Paul, off to the Roaches tomorrow but if the weather looks ok and I can squeeze it in I am definitely going to try getting up to the scar later in the week. Never heard of the place before which is frankly shameful for a Yorkshire lad. Thanks for sharing this great place. If I fall and break my leg I promise not to tell everyone you inspired me lol

Two years ago and one year ago since my first Malham vlog. I’m looking back and remembering why I started vlogging and this video was a big reason! Of course and part 1. Thank you Paul for all your inspiration and wish you could of been at the meetup last Saturday. I chose Malham because it was the start of my journey, I hope at some point I can go back and meet with you there. I’ve looked and my original account was Eatingdesign, with all my comments on your videos now gone because I deleted that account. So that means one thing! I need to go back and watch all you videos again and comment again 😊👍 take good care, Sithee x

As usual a brilliant video with stunning shots. Jimmy McIntyre does a free luminosity masks action as well as Raya but there's also another guy called Aaron Downing that does a panel called ADPpanel and it's really easy to use. Congratulations on cracking your 1k subscribers, but I think this is just the beginning.
@PaulGJohnsonphotography8 жыл бұрын
Thanks re the 1000. Yes I understand from his videos he does quite a few things software wise. Great tip for people re Aaron Downing. Myself I don't use either but I know a lot of people swear by Raya

Very good and easy to watch Paul with very helpful advice. Notice people mention about you using a gimbal. One thing I do is use my tripod at its shortest setting with the GoPro tilted towards me so I can grip the tripod in the centre section. Have the two legs at sides and one out to rear. This way you can also extend two of the legs if needed and acts like counter balances to steady the camera. Note I sent an email and not sure if you missed or ignored ;) Atb Bud.
@PaulGJohnsonphotography8 жыл бұрын
That's a great tip. Not ignoring the email, its on my list as the next job :) Check you inbox in a few minutes :)

My first video of yours to watch. I have the same problem as you, the face and the chin, quite funny. I had to laugh at that. I have the D800e, is your camera the D810? I have seen Jimmy McIntyre's video, but I am not a photoshop user, just Lightroom so that's a bit over my head. I am subscribing, looking forward to more landscapes from you.
@PaulGJohnsonphotography8 жыл бұрын
Hi Steve . I have the D800e and love it. Just struggle to live with the LCD screen but have got round that with a wifi link for my phone (not arrived yet). Thank you very much for subscribing. Lots of other videos for you to see :)
@steveh12738 жыл бұрын
the wifi link, does it send the LCD image over to the phone? Would not work for me, my iphone 4 doesn't have a bright enough screen to see outside. What might that product be. Thanks.
