I just tossed my bible cover because the fake leather kept flaking off. I do so much slo stitching, I ve made so many book marks, journal covers, pillows, a needle book and a table runner. And tried my hand at painting with thread on a few 6 inch squares. why in the world didn't I think about making a cover for my study bible? What a wonderful idea! Yours is going to be gorgeous. It's a big enuf project project that if you have #10 or 12 crochet thread that's the same as 2 or 3 strands of embroidery floss. I wish they would make crochet thread in the vast array of colors of embroidery floss.

Thanks for watching, Rae. They do make variegated perle cottons but not on big spools. I like the size 8 my self and I think that is comparable to the embroidery floss at 3 or 4 strands. I have found the perle cottons in tons of colors.
