Beautiful exercises and video, great for loosening up, which I needed! (:

Thank you very much for showing us this process. I'm a beginner and get very intimidated by tutorials that start with pencil sketches as I think that's something I'm not good at. I loved this! Thank you very much!

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of pad is that you're painting on? It seems to me that a lot of the watercolor pads I find here just dont have the kind of quality paper you can buy loose sheets of.

Thank you Umberto. I am a very beginner and happy to have found this tutorial. I am happy to be guided by you, where should I go next with your tutorials? There are so many and all beautiful?

A master of Chinese brush painting taught a class in improvisation in which he had his students splash ink onto paper, tilt it to make it run opportunistically, and then develop something from what happens with a brush. Sort of Rohrshact modification, if you will. There is a special key to fresh results that comes from finding, not planning. The less defined the subject in a painting, the more imagination in the viewing. BRAVO!

Love your videos and the brush tip. Do you have a video that goes over the brushes you use? I'm a beginner and love the people you do but can't figure out the brush.
@umberto.rossini7 жыл бұрын
I haven't because i like to change brush kind. Of course you work differently with different brush, but I'm sure you can do everything with quite every brush. Nevertheless, I use standart brushes, you can find them everywhere on the net

More than any other painting technique, watercolor is the mechanics of fluids just like the creation of nature. So provided not to "force" the work by untimely strokes, the mechanics of fluids always arranges things and the human eye then knows how to see the details of nature. The less you come back to it, the better the result. You shouldn't just be wrong about values, tones and textures.
