We turned a slow day of fishing around with a variety of species. We caught kingfish, Cobia , mutton snapper, banded rudder-fish and a rainbow runner. Commercial fishing is all about making the most out of your time on the water and being able to adapt to the conditions!

As a somewhat professional fisherman myself, I would rather watch decent camera guys film great fisherman, then great camera guys film decent fisherman which is what you have on all of the television shows. I took a gentleman out that had a popular bass fishing television show about 20 years ago offshore fishing. He was flipped out. He had never seen anything take drag like that

Roll the limes around on a hard surface while pressing down on them to get more juice before you cut them. Your basically softening them to get the most juice possible out of them when they are like that 👍🏽🇻🇮

Hell yeah Rainbow Runner is always a treat, especially as sashimi. Brooo 22:05 it’s not a saw 😅 use the full length of the blade, starting from the heel of the knife all the way to the tip in one slice

From a sushi chef.. saw you cutting with the yanagi--- The proper way to use this knife is start at the heel and pull with one slice through, instead of the sawing motion. Looks like a fun fishing trip, I'd love to eat those mutton snapper raw too.

When you get limes or Lemons that seem to be duds, Roll them on counter top with some pressure, it squashes all the insides, and releases the juices, I do that with all my limes, when I'm going to make salsa.

That seared rainbow runner looked phenominal! The banded rudderfish used to be plentiful up here but now you never see one. I hope the almaco doesn't disappear as well. A lot of the charter guys up here use the 26 foot Twin Vee. That beam you get with a cat boat is great.

Lil tip bro when you are doing tataki or wanting to slice seared fish. Before you sear put a chopstick on either side of the fillet and pre slice it almost all the way through then dip in your sesame seeds and sear away. A serious game changer.

I was skeptical when I first saw catch clean and cook in the title as I have always been a fan of the original KZbin channel to use that. However, I really enjoyed this video. I felt like I was fishing with my family. I have grown up offshore. I live in Freeport Texas and I am 48 years old. Since I was 5 years old I have been out whenever weather permits. Usually 20 trips every summer sometimes more sometimes less. I have ran guided trips, several of my friends are Charter captains and will have me fill in for them on trips they do not want to go. I have had my captain's license since I was 28. And this would be some really cool people to fish with. The captain is very knowledgeable and isn't arrogant like a lot of them tend to be if any of my friends read this I'm sorry but it's the truth. Yeah you've got a nice boat we get it. My 24 foot walkaround Robalo bring back at least just as many fish is there a 32-foot contenders and I can T bone one of those contenders cut it in half and keep driving. LOL Anyway this Captain is not like that. And I love the old catamaran. Next boat I get I am thinking about a twin Vee. They are on two foot to 4 foot Seas Karma and the camera could be hiding some of it they could be 3 foot to 5 foot but it's pretty choppy. Quick intervals do not help either. This boat seems to handle it very well and is very stable. The crew is knowledgeable and fun. And what he says about the Sharks is the truth man. We hate taking customers out during shark week. Because every time you get so much as a nibble, everyone wants to know if it's a shark could it be a star. Yeah there's a real good chance that it's a shark unfortunately. There is stuff out here that puts up a better fight than most of them lb for lb and tastes much better. I say that..... Blacktip is actually really good, make some of the best fajitas in the world, and mako shark is an absolute delicacy. You don't see a whole lot of those around here unless you go 70 miles offshore. I get to talkin fishing and I can't shut up. LOL if you guys were ever around the Freeport Texas area holler at me. I'm going to go subscribe to your Channel. I think everyone watching to do the same. I really enjoyed the video and I'm going to go look for some more of your stuff.

You need to rig some buoys with cable and 200 pound test with some big hooks as soon as you get out to your spot through them out with some bait, do that for a few days, will help out with the shark problem, and if you can get any to the boat and gut a few would also help the situation.

Hay Brook and Vic, I love your videos and I have to comment on ceviche, which I consider myself the ceviche guru. I first learned to make and eat barracuda ceviche. Please try barracuda, you won't regret it. Also I have the same lemon squeezer, try putting the lime halves with the cut down, you get all the juice out. Keep up the good work! God bless you guys!
