Great tribute to Lane. My son's just turned 16 and Lane has been his hero since he was about 12. My son is just getting over a bull-riding accident that will take 6 months altogether to get back to "normal". He can't wait to get back on again and ride. You just cannot stop them. He's also just turned 16 and got his learners plates for his motorbike licence, that makes me nervous too! If I had only known how to have a girl and not a boy..... but I wouldn't have it any other way! Love you buddy! RIP Lane. My heart goes out to his Mum & Dad. I'm crying full on as I write this.

I knew Lane casually from the rodeo circuit and I was in the wild horse racing finals at Cheyenne Frontier Days and watched Marty Staneart ride him for the first time in over 5 years. I remember thinking , "now I've seen the rodeo!". Two rides later I watched Lane die. When they carried Lane past me I had a flashback to Vietnam and I knew immediately Lane was dead. Lane Frost was one hell of a bull rider and one of the most decent cowboys I've ever known.

My family moved to OKC from Texas when I was 16, my dad was in the feed business and knew most of the stock contractors back then. I met Lane and got to watch him ride several times at the fairgrounds arena and in Guthrie. To this day still the smoothest most natural rider I've ever seen. Also about the friendliest person I ever met.

Lane Frost is my mentor and was my dads. He may have passed in July of 89 but he is still in everyone's heart. There has been great bull riders and there still is great ones but in my opinion, Lane Frost was and is the best of the best. He will never soon be forgotten.

Glenn Wolfe because the protective vest wasn't mandatory yet I've taken bad hits like that with my vest and came out fairly alright. He rode with great form and try, conquering many of the greatest bulls and winning many prestigious rodeos including the world championship. He was well liked and recommitted Christian bout 6 months before his tragic accident. A true champ in and out of the arena. The movie 8 seconds is mostly Hollywood b.s. Bull riding is an extremely dangerous sport and each of us accepts the possibility of death and the inevitable injuries that come with the sport. He died doing what he loved. Dying has nothing to do with this man's righteousness and tremendous bull riding skills.

Great video Jason; I'm quite sure Lane would approve. The average time of a play in the NFL is right at 6.5-7.0 seconds from snap to whistle. If you think that's exciting then go to a PBR event and hold on to your fruit of the looms or what ever. I guarantee you will go back for more....and where do you think the term "strong as a bull," came from....yeah! I say, God bless Country folks....They're the backbone of our country.

This is the 1st time I've had a close up look at Lane. What I saw is something in sports that doesn't come along very often. Someone that is actually bigger than the sport itself. Why? Because like Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, Or someone like Lane they reach outside that world and have fans that wouldn't ordinarily be one. Plus he had it all, if you were going to build a bull rider from the ground up, You would say, no wait , just give me that guy. Lane Frost.

It has to be a miserable existence to spend your Nights commenting on the things that You cant stand. Right? Well, Honey Badger....it's Obvious that You are a much better person than any of us who Have ridden bulls. I mean, You make pretty clear what a good person You are by Simply Judging a bunch of people You've never met, and basing your judgement on something you know nothing about. It's also apparent that You have much better things to do with your life than any of us have done with ours...seeing as How You have plenty of time to surf KZbin posting hateful comments on videos you dislike.
