No! And I consider myself pretty familiar with Cubase. Thanks for doing this.

Hey, thanks again for another great video. From my perspective this is one of the best Cubase channels out there. : ) Kind regards, Darren (Wales, UK).

Wow, thanks! Glad you're enjoying the videos.

I know this video was a while ago, but I think the easiest way to accomplish the opening question is to use the visibility agent "Show Channels that are Connected to the First Selected Channel" and the only thing that remains on the mixer is what's connected to the bus/FX return
@LanewoodStudios4 ай бұрын
Yes that’s an excellent way to do this. Thanks for the tip!

Cubase is daw king in navigation very big projects. no doubt. former PT, S1, Logic user here. folders, visibility tools, keycommands, makros, channel settings, zoom switches, workspaces, 4 mixers e.g. are big timesaver in Cubase.

Yes it’s great at that 👍

Thank you! I've been using Cubase since SX3, and im kinda still stuck in the old way of navigating...

i see on your mix settings mostly use the send levels to mix the fx output, i like to use one fx plugin to one source and mix thru tha main fx return fader, thank you.
@LanewoodStudios Жыл бұрын
Ok that’s an interesting way of using FX. What are the advantages of working that way?
@hakangurdol Жыл бұрын
@@LanewoodStudios it gives much more accurate in blending the signals, it's not easy to toggle the send level and hundert percent processed signal is much better for me to mix with the Cubase fx return fader
@LanewoodStudios Жыл бұрын
@@hakangurdol ah yes I guess you can then use a fader to determine the FX amount instead of that little send level slider. I can imagine you do need many more plugins for this method.

@@LanewoodStudios in detail yes in with many more parallel fx returns, so we make mix 🤞🏽🍻👊🏼

Great video! I tried my hand at mixing one of the current Cubase demo tracks. But, the problem is that Austin uses VST instruments (such as groove agent), and I couldn't figure out how those are routed. Could you please do a demo on that?
@LanewoodStudios Жыл бұрын
Thanks. Yes I noticed on that demo project that you need most of the optional libraries of the Cubase 12 package installed as well. Since I don’t have everything installed I never really fully ran that project. I’m not at my DAW now but can you not just see the routing of the GA track like you can see it if other tracks? Austin’s channel is great by the way.

@@LanewoodStudios it didn't seem like I could. I've only recently started trying to trace/backtrack the routing of channels. So I wanted to reach out to you, to see if I was maybe doing something wrong.
