You are. Beethoven did not write it as a romantic piece - Lang Lang made it sound like a love poem or other nonsense. Lang Lang played it badly.

If he really understood the differences among the composers and among the music periods, then he wouldn't play them all like Chopin or Schumann. He is not a true musician. He is an entertainer. I just found a video "The difference between an entertainer and a musician". The critic who made that video is brilliant. Watch and listen to Lang Lang and Kissin (a real musician) play the same piece.

I named my eldest and only daughter Elise from this piece I also used to play. Unfortunately, she died giving birth to my second granddaughter who’s now 3 yrs old also christened with same nice name. All I have now are memories hearing this tune and seeing my granddaughters. I hope to hear one of them playing Fur Elise before I join their mom in a matter of time.

"Seen" is right. This is not music. This is entertainment for people who do not really know what the different composers' compositions should sound like. It is like a comic book version of "1984" or "Gone with the Wind". Go listen to good pianists. Look it up on youtube. This guy is not in their league.
