I need to understand what test consequences on society look like. What is the meaning of social consequences of a test's interpretation and use?

Thank you for the great video! May I ask you a question? You have mentioned the importance of giving the same instructions every time, which is of course a good point. But would it be a problem if an assessor said something slightly different giving the instructions? For example, “Let’s talk about education now, shall we?” instead of “Let’s talk about education now.”

Is there any difference between washback and backwash?
@TuziTalks
@TuziTalks 4 жыл бұрын
Washback is the positive or negative effects of a test. Positive washback refers to expected test effects. Negative washback refers to the unexpected, harmful consequences of a test. Backwash is not usually referred to in linguistic terms

Dr. what is test item analysis?
@TuziTalks
@TuziTalks 6 жыл бұрын
Item analysis is a process which examines student responses to individual test items (questions) in order to assess the quality of those items and of the test as a whole. Item analysis is especially valuable in improving items which will be used again in later tests, but it can also be used to eliminate ambiguous or misleading items in a single test administration. - www.washington.edu/assessment/scanning-scoring/scoring/reports/item-analysis/

According to practicality, is 3 hours suitable for taking a test in national test? Or is it too long?
@TuziTalks
@TuziTalks 8 жыл бұрын
+Arnon Jannok There are many factors involved in this question. For example How old are the participants Are there any breaks in the test? What are the topics involved? What skills are being assessed I would not like to take a 3 hour. But I cannot answer the question as stated.
