Hi Richard, I am very interested in joining your Patreon but I am not sure whether my questions would be suitable for what you’ve created it for. My overriding motivation for learning my languages is quite simply that I love them and don’t feel like I NEED to do it for any particular purpose. However, I want to. I want my language interaction to be more than just my study and weekly tutor sessions but to work and socialise with speakers of those languages online. So my questions would be around combining language study with/ through professional development (that isn’t limited to just teaching or translating), to use my skills for good for others, how to find opportunities to interact with speakers in their own native speaking online communities and how to find these. How to network with native speakers. Whilst these are certainly language learning related queries and a community would certainly be an opportunity, I don’t know whether my issues are more career based, or too niche, than language based. Though, I also know your experience in finding ways to to use languages through work is something I admire greatly. If Patreon is not the platform for these types of questions, from your experience, do you have any related advice for me to find books, sites etc along these lines. PS I’m the Catalan learning Spanish speaker you mentioned haha Thanks very much
