I checked out Lanieri’s website and when I got to the trousers/pants section, there’s an option to have wider than usual trouser hem width. I have a Canali suit that is light tan and the best way I can describe it is that it’s a butter colour. Unfortunately the jacket is just a little too wide at the shoulders and it is also Reg length. I thought it fitted but after watching some videos on how a suit should fit, I saw that the coat is just too big. The trousers, however are absolutely superb! They feel amazing. The hem is 8” wide and the whole trouser leg is wider than you usually see in suits. It’s not ridiculously wide, just in case it sounds like that. The fabric wafts against your legs and keeps you cool. Lanieri are the only tailors, apart from Magnoli Clothiers as far as I know, that make pants legs this wide. If you get the opportunity to try a pair like these, guys, give them a go and see how really great they feel.

Looking at your video, I see the same problem from the Black lapel suit, where the lapel would pop out when I move my hand or put my hand in my pockets. I even had the black lapel suit remade, yet the same problem still exist.

They're half: "Comfort and fit exactly where and when it is needed. The perfect wearability of our tailored jackets is also obtained thanks to the special natural canvas that extends from the shoulder down through the chest. This construction, known as half-canvassing, provides the garment with a better fit and makes it more comfortable to wear."

@thekavalier Thanks. Another question, for you. I am debating on wether to get the navy micro dot suit which is a unique color at a 690 price point. Vs the Oliver Wicks premium dark navy at 599. Which suit would you recommend between the two for work, interviews, weddings, etc...? I like your videos and was on the fence between black lapel and oliver wicks since the last MTM video you made. Hello, I discovered your videos last night and went exploring. However, when I pulled up Lianeri on the phone, I got (a) not yet in the USA and (b) a reply back in Italian. Now, I don't speak Italian so how do I get an English translation? I'd love to see what they have for suits but also tuxedos (which I wear more often than not). I'm also a bow tie lover so do you wear them and do you have any leads for them? Also do you wear French Cuffs? If not you should. My last tuxedo purchase was actually two of them last spring for my Class Reunion and it was a Jos. A . Bank Custom Reserve order. Have you checked them out a stop custom? I think you'd be well pleased with them as I am. I can tell you one thing: if you do order a custom MTM tux from anyone, be prepared to have many people tell you that you look dashing, handsome, sophisticated etc. I've had it all and that's what I was expecting. Anyway, my main concern in commenting was trying to discover an English translation and if you can help me out there, it'd be so fine! I'm not as bad of a clotheshorse, but next to music, it's a definite preoccupation as I love to look good! Thanks for giving me another video series to pursue.

@KalebChesnicFlutist7 жыл бұрын
The pooling of fabric at the top of your back is because your shoulders are higher than the pattern was made for. Ordering a sloped shoulder would actually make it worse, because that would make the shoulder even lower. You should see if they have a lower collar option (sometimes referred to as raise back). Looks like a nice fit otherwise,
@TheAvesMYSTR7 жыл бұрын
Kaleb Chesnic a tailor can take up the excess under the collar in next to no time. Very simple job on several RTW suits I sell. Obviously on made to measure it's something you can identify first.
@KalebChesnicFlutist7 жыл бұрын
TheAvesMYSTR I know. It’s called a lower collar, or a raise back. Kind of like what I said in my first comment. The point I was trying to make is that asking to slope the shoulder from the start is going to make it worse, not better.

Small Boots I got actually the Navy plain 110's a year ago. Really happy with it after seeing the brooks Brothers red fleece line which was full of stitching issues. Great review. Just my opinion, but it might be a good idea to order a second pair of trousers in a fuller, more classical cut. While the jacket looks fine, I have a feeling the skinny pants look is going to be extremely dated in a few years. It would be a shame to have to dump all your suits a couple of years from now when the pants are the only problem.

Well that’s what mtm suits will get you, it’s a lower armholes cut, if you want a high armholes cut you and other more customization you have to go full bespoke I guess!
@bkcpisme7 жыл бұрын
I think that is only true in some cases. I have a MTM from some random place and, while there are other things wrong with it, the armholes are high enough so as to not make the whole jacket move weirdly when you try to reach for something. It depends more on what their standard design is that they're building off of, more than the fact that it's MTM.
