Thank you Shan, the best review I have seen on Lanoguard as you showed the rusty car a year ago , treated car a year ago and the car a year later to show how effective Lanoguard has been.I’m looking to do a new car so hopefully it will stop most rust forming.

I run a Hyundai and it's made of monkey metal so looking after it is massively important. Lanogaurd works great but an important thing is to apply it on an absolutely wind free day if there is even the merest hint of a breeze don't bother otherwise overspray mist blows all over your paintwork and glass and you have a lot of degreasing to do.

Hi Rod - Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on this video. Ah, thought it was just Mitsubishi! 😂 Yea I'd definitely agree, and I've been guilty of that. Not sure your opinion can be trusted when you open the video with your affiliate info. Hardly going to say anything negative about it.

The first video I did didn't have any affiliate link attached to it and was very impressed, hence the follow up video kzbin.info/www/bejne/rWitmqqBfZdpbsUsi=sx3C9ObinJ7Q1ywi I wouldn't promote anything I don't use and rate in my videos. @@thetruth796apparently across the pond you don't get products that work very well . In the states they have a product called surface shield by PB blaster , it doesn't wash off and it works . The results shown here were rather pathetic comparing it to a product like surface shield.

I bought this stuff 2 years ago, and didn’t use it for a full year and when I went to use the spray I found that the liquid contained numerous black squishy masses as though it had gone off. I couldn’t use the spray because it just got blocked. I’m going to have to sieve the liquid first

Hello I would recommend a mixture of about 50/50 of lamp oil and cooked linseed oil. The oil penetrates the rust deeply and crumbles it, blocks it. Linseed oil is brought with it, which dries over time and creates a transparent and hard membrane where water no longer passes. On top you can then spray all the waxes you prefer. Economical and effective at % 💯 from Italy. Mark

So, just seen. a new Lanoguard advert with a woman wearing a t-shirt saying "Stop Underbody Rust." This product is TOTAL bollocks! I treated my car 5 times,....nothing but a mess!
@everythinghomeАй бұрын
You used it 5 times and it didn't work? I suspect you didn't use it properly, or whatever you were coating was too far gone. I've used it a couple of years running on 3 cars and not had any issues.
@cg797512 күн бұрын
A lot of overselling going on here. There's nothing that will stop rust - this stuff might slow it down a tiny bit - that's all. It makes an awful clabber and mess of the underside of your car😬.
@everythinghome12 күн бұрын
Yea nothing will stop rust entirely but its significantly better with it than without it. There isn't really much mess apart from when applying it, but after a couple of days of lingering smell you wouldn't know it was on there

i'd be intrested to hear your thoughts on how the bilt hamber product has held up after a year,i'm going to be using hydrate 80 on my fiesta st and was wondering whether you would use it again or just use the lanoguard instead?
@everythinghome6 ай бұрын
Hi - Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on this video. To be honest, I'd probably just use the lanoguard going forward as the bilt gamer hydrate 80 was significantly more cumbersome to apply compared to the lanoguard. I've used Waxoyl on my cars and bikes for years. I made the mistake of using the black waxoyl last year as Halfords didn't have any of the clear(brownish) original. Only a true enthusiast will do this job on a car, it's not the nicest of jobs, so hats off to you. I think the Waxoyl and the Lanoguard achieve about the same result. It also peels off after a year or so of all weather use. I'm going to give the Lanoguard a go this year, before the weather gets much worse. Thanks for the vid.
@everythinghome4 ай бұрын
Hi Peter - Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on this video. Glad you found it useful. That's useful to know - I've not used Waxoyl before but heard it mentioned a number of times. It'll be interesting to see how you get on with Lanoguard - do come back and let me know. I've just done the underside of my Nissan Leaf - it was a darn prettier than the Mitsubishi (but only 3 years newer). @@everythinghome I grew up using Waxoyl and tbh I don't really rate it these days. Applying it is a real faff, the white spirit base meant the interior would always stink for weeks after doing the doors, and it didn't stop the sills on my old car going crusty.

Well, as someone who has used a variety of anti-corrosion products I'll say it's very good indeed. Prep is important so take the time to get the surfaces clean and this stuff does a fine job.

H Kevin i - Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on this video. Glad you found it useful. It doesn't really have a colour. The lanoguard spray is a straw colour. It does cure and leave the surface a darker colour. As far as I'm aware there are no other options for this but you can check out their shop. dinitrol is so much better, last far longer. with lanoguard you have to do every year. dinitrol can last about 10 years with minor patch ups when required.

It's quite alot for rust protecion.. £80! Surely You could just buy a tin of hammerite for £15 and achieve the same sort of barrier to protect the metal from further rusting??
@everythinghome2 ай бұрын
Hi Samuel - Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on this video. IMO Lanoguard is great as a long-lasting, flexible which is much easier to apply. Hammerite, on the other hand, is better suited for aesthetic metal finishes where a hard, durable shell is needed, like fences and furniture, but requires more prep work and can crack. Hi - Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on this video. Lanoguard is ideal for us as we wanted an environmentally friendly, easy-to-apply option . Don’t see the point in this product at all. Stick with Bilt Hamber Dynax S50 and Dinitrol 3125. Nothing comes close at all, and they are long term treatments. This lanoguard stuff has literally no purpose in my eyes; stick with companies who actually have been making anti-corrosion products for decades and in Dintrols case, for OEM car manufacturers.
