Another great video, thanks Mike. We were in San Antonio many years ago but didn’t know about the statues of the Canarians. If you ever go there a visit to the chapel where the battle of The Alamo took place. Jim Bowie, Davy Crockett and John Wayne were all killed there (although Wayne was resurrected to appear in many more films!!). The interesting part is the list of names of people that were killed there and how many were English, Welsh, Scottish and Irish. The chapel is right next to the 20 storey post office building!

Thank you for the update, as always great to find out what’s happening out and about in Lanzerote. We also enjoyed the food festival in Teguise and nice surprise to spot Peter and I in the clip. 😮😅. Enjoy the race.

Hi Mike Hope you’ve enjoyed the GP 🤞 Could I just mention that after watching almost every vlog in the year I’ve been following the channel I’m quite surprised unless I’ve missed it that the new rules entering Spain and the Canary Islands start tomorrow 2nd of December. I visit Lanzarote and Tenerife at least 3 or 4 times a year. Until I watched another Channel this morning I was unaware of this, I know there has been talk of it since around 2021 . I fly out to Tenerife on the 11th of December then back to Lanzarote in February. Could you please if possible let me know or do an updated vlog to explain how this will affect me and other Travellers. Regards Mick Turner

Hi Mick. There isn’t really a story - just yet another thing the British press are trying to make into a big thing, and which isn’t. Currently, hotels, apartments, villas and car hire companies pass your name, home address and passport details to a police database here, and they’ve been doing so for years. The only thing that changes today, is that they will pass on more information - method of payment for the service - NOT card details, but how you paid, Visa, bank transfer etc., date of birth, email address and phone number. To answer your question, it won’t affect travellers at all. I don’t think you’ll notice any difference. You’ll check in to your accommodation / collect your car, you’ll complete the same forms as you always have, and after you’ve checked in, the hotel or car hire company will transmit the data, as they have been doing for years.
