This video is something really special. You've expertly teased out and argued the main arguments of each series. As someone who was a previous fan of LL!, and now is primarily a fan of idols in the abstract (Aikatsu! has given me enough appreciation for idols to sustain a lifetime), I never gave LL! the time of day it deserved beyond my teenage interest, and I'm glad someone has done it. All of these works have been made with love, the continuous dismissal of art that doesn't insist on being taken seriously is something that newly breaks my heart each passing day. The dichotomy between being an idol of love vs. life you developed really struck a chord with me. As someone who has the vague aspiration of embodying what it means to be an idol, as the idols of this genre have inspired me in me, I've always felt as if I could never live up to them. I could never be Kosaka Honoka, I could never be Aine Yuki. It's just my nature. I'm just not that self-sacrificing, I'm too selfish. I never got anything close to what I wanted or needed. How could I be like them? But being a monster, being selfish, doesn't preclude you from being an idol. It's a means of owning your life. Thank you. I look forward to your future writing.

enjoyed every minute of this video! i love how brilliantly you joined the pieces of symbolism throughout the series and how everything comes together, which is something i will always truly love about love live is that everything is connected no matter how big or small that connection is

such dedication, great job explaining all the symbolism in the entire franchise and thanks for convincing me to re-watch sunshine again (dropped it when it aired because i thought it was boring and the early gap in musical qualities compared to u's)

This is so good and you go so in depth into the symbolism! Your video got me thinking about the new idol group that's on the horizon and how they're going to fit into the story line and legacy of Love Live. Their anime adaptation (If they get one, which is probably pretty likely) will be interesting because it will be long after Superstar and Nijigasaki and they'll have to engage in a conversation with those anime along with the original two. Again, really great video! I'm subscribing to see what you'll do next.

What is you opinion about the Yohane anime? Since it contains actual magic and Yohane has the leader role now, plus the manga and the two games Surely a very interesting video will come out from this
