I did Seattle Center to downtown/pike place from 5th and then down Pike today. I was surprised, they have definitely cleaned up some of the trouble spots off 3rd. Still a lot of bad smelling streets and drug use unfortunately. Don’t worry about people that get upset. End of the day showing reality of what’s good and bad is the most honest you can be.

Thank you for this video. I visited Seattle last week and did the tourist thing. It's a beautiful city. I also went there during some great weather with Mt Ranier visible clearly. The waterfront is really nice. I recommend taking the hour boat tour around the bay.

I always love your market walks! If this was Saturday, it really WAS a gorgeous day! I was over at Alki Beach and the sun was SHINING 🥰☀️ I haven't made it to Storyville yet, but I've heard their coffee is good. A friend and I did the Great Wheel ~2 weeks ago and as someone who doesn't like heights, I don't know why I thought that would be a good idea LOL. I don't think I'll be doing that again. Another one: so that open area between the aquarium and Ferris wheel is gonna have a play structure. And the bridge thing that’s going from pike place to the aquarium (and where the aquarium is expanding…) is supposedly gonna have a small one as well. Anyways, pike and pine… lol that’s interesting. They moved off the streets and back into alleyways. Well… I guess as long as they aren’t hurting anyone? My uncle and grandmother and I walked from his hotel in downtown Seattle to pike place during the evening. Boy that was fun. Seattle is a fun town. We passed the Hard Rock Cafe and everything. Back then, I was super paranoid and constantly keeping a look out for shady people. I distinctly remember not seeing a single one. Not ONE. Business people on their phones, people attending special events, tourists, hippies and what have you. Even the dark alleyways had no activity in them. I would love to see THAT Seattle again. This Seattle tho? Honestly? It still isn’t that bad. I’ve been to the cities you’ve mentioned (I drive a semi… New York, Chicago, LA and even Las Vegas and New Orleans…) and you’re right dude. Like… everywhere is gonna have its areas and issues. That’s why as a tourist you want to talk to locals, avoid going out at night if you don’t know where the dangerous areas are, if you see a crowd of people who look intoxicated or tent cities or rowdiness, you should generally not go over there… we made that mistake and none of them bothered us but there was definitely a negative vibe there and there was a lot of screaming and arm flailing… it was after dark tho. But yea. Avoiding those areas… ignoring people who do get rowdy. Carry pepper spray just in case. Safety in numbers where other tourists are. You know? Seattle is a fun place and I truly believe it will be back to its former glory. I mean… people still go to Manhattan despite the crap going on there…

I was there last month going down to Pike Place market before I reach the Beecher's Cheese there was a lady cornered me and asking for her picture to be taken and if I didnt she said she wont go away so I move my phone a bit and she tried to grab it and saying I have a picture of her and she will sue me for it. So scary I just taking a video going down. YES!! Avoid 3rd street and Pioneer square station so many homeless and drug users. Waterfront careful with the CD music guys. Better to use Electric scooter I dont recommend travelling alone specially woman.
