It looks like that 3rd Street area by the McDonald’s has really been cleaned up. I love seeing the police just sitting there!

growing up in Seattle, from age 10 -15, your walking videos bring back fond memories of a City we never should have left, but being 15, you go where your parents find employment, unfortunately it was Southern California.

I had to drop someone off at King street station today. From my what I saw and also from what I seeing in these videos, the streets still look clean and it’s not as if homeless tents have taken over entire streets. However there is near complete disappearance of retail and restaurants! Pike place is the only place left with some vibrancy.

Good video. Hey, when you go to Pike Place, I don't recall you going to the shops downstairs. I remember one time you went down there and said you didn't have time to go through the area. Maybe I missed that one. Anyway, nice video. Surprised that their weren't more people out and about on Sunday but like you said, it was early and early April. Sure miss that area.

Pretty new to your channel, but loving it already. Planning a trip to Seattle and keep trying to see if taking the monorail to Westlake Center and then walking to Pike Place is a reasonable thing... when you got to 5th I was hoping you would turn left and either walk to or show the monorail stop! Looks like in terms of distances shouldn't be an issue... I see the articles about safety and I wonder if just walking down Stewart would be a better option, or if I am just seeing headlines and shouldn't be as concerned... seems like your walk was safe... ☮
@LaoOcean2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Monorail is next to Nordstrom Rack and getting to Pike Place from there is a breeze.
@pnwpaths29252 жыл бұрын
Definitely be aware of your surroundings on/near 3rd. Typically there are always people traveling on Pike and Pine to the market. Just stick with a group of people and shouldn’t be an issue. Currently the police have a mobile command unit stationed at 3rd and pike, so probably the safest way to the market right now

I think you got it in there before all the troublemakers woke up for the day. Macys closed down and then Amazon leased the building but have since sent their employees home for safety concerns. Been downtown more than I wish lately, sad to see it boarded up and not the downtown I love. Gotta say though, getting there early probably a good call. Got the place pretty much to yourself! I think I have only gotten a Seattle dog at 2 in the morning after being at the bars for the night. So like 10+ years ago 😱. We are definitely known For teriyaki and using ranch on it as well. Never tried it but it is a Seattle thing apparently.
@pnwpaths29252 жыл бұрын
@bihbhkjbnlk the teriyaki places in the downtown area always had ranch available and would see/hear about people cover their chicken in it🤷♂️. That was when my wife worked downtown 15+ years ago though.
