Hi Todd. Not sure if you need/want to know this, but the fruit you refer to that is sweeter than a grapefruit although similar in size is called a pomelo - it’s actually the ‘ancestor’ plant of the grapefruit. I love eating them, but hate the effort of peeling them because the skin and pith is so thick and tough!😆
@NowinLao4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they always taste better when somebody else has peeled them for you 😋 I had been told the name before, but had forgotten. Thanks Tia

@@NowinLao At the risk of sounding like a pompous class swat - I also think what you called ‘garanga’ is actually called galangal (Ka in Lao). Unless ‘garanga’ is how Aussies say it.🤗

Just working my way through your catalog. Nice village, seems like they didn't want to show you their secret water place, maybe they sell it to the others who get barrels of it.

Those fruit are called Pomelo, related to grapefruit.

Limestone filtered water tastes amazing. Those limestone karst cliffs are doing the work. Part of the reason all the bourbon distilleries are in Kentucky and the whiskey is from Tennessee is because of the quality of the limestone water there.

Hey Todd,,Each village you tour has cool and interesting stuff to learn. I love the traditional architecture incorporated into modern buildings. The old wooden buildings are my favorites, though. The looms were interesting too. The hardware store,,lol. The oldest inhabited town in the U.S. is Santa Fe ,New Mexico built about 1608,,omg that village is 200 fricken years older. That village was there when Spain was Arab and Europeans thought the earth was flat. AMAZING!!! Beautiful day ,too,,most everyone was very friendly. Cool place. Thanks Todd. Heard there is a new explosion of covid in Pattaya,,over 2000 in one day,,so be careful my friend. This shitfest isn't done yet. I'll Ttyl,,,Marlon
