Got a long one for you guys today, but I think it's a pretty special one. This is a Laos Food Vlog collaboration that I did with Tamarind Restaurant in Luang Prabang, Laos.
Tamarind has several tasting menus you can choose from, and one of these is known as the 'Adventurous Laos' menu, which also includes a tour of the morning market in Luang Prabang to pick out ingredients for your dinner that, well... you might not have seen before.
From going through the market and learning about the exotic produce and animals used in traditional Laos cooking to eating them just a few hours later, this was a truly incredible experience, and I can't wait to share it with you!

So the river weed /seaweed dish that you said tastes like spinach…We actually use spinach to make that dish here in the States!

Amazing food vlog, its so alien to our western foods , some of those things i would probably not try but as you try them you can be surprised how good it is. The intestine on the lemon grass & Bugs & Rat , i believe i would try now i have seen this. Think the thing that i would avoid the most is the fish stool (Shrimp) thing. Really like your assessments of the food you eat , one of the best.! Being taken around the market is massive bonus being able to understand the ingredients . I remember so many times walking in Thai markets & not knowing what things were & since generally many market traders don't speak English makes it impossible. Look forward to more in Laos, will you be there while?
