Yup. That's exactly how i would describe it. Even the food is similar to Vietnamese with Pho and Bahn Mi as well as northeastern food of Thailand. Highly recommended.

Hi I'm going to Laos soon. Have you managed to obtain permission to fly a drone in Laos, and if so, how? Did you have any problems with taking the drone to Laos?

No problem traveling with a drone as long as you avoid flying in cities, near airports, above people, etc. Basically, only fly when you are in nature away from people and you should be fine
