A great video as always and so nice to see the Sony A7R V in use. Does it overheat and then shutdown at all? My ZV1 is great but it tends to shutdown after an hour or so.

I wish that camera companies would give 1080p video some love instead of treating it like a red-headed step child nobody wants. 4k optimization is awesome, don't get me wrong. But why is it asking too much to oversample 1080p? They already do it with 4k. GOOD 1080p is still worthwhile, and the file size savings are massively worth it. Have confirmed with both Sony and Canon that neither of the new cameras (A7R V, FX30, R6 Mark ii, or anything at all) that oversampled 1080p is not offered and not planned to be offered at all. Reviewers are doing everybody a disservice by not chasing after this and just focusing on how good the 4k video is.

The A7 IV oddly enough got oversampled 1080p, but only in the APS-C crop.

It is technically super easy to offer oversampled 1080p too as it doesn't push any hardware limitations. It is just because they don't want to do it. Maybe not enough people are asking for it.

If you want oversampled 1080p just record in 4k and downsample it in post. Honestly yours is such a niche ask, I won't be surprised if camera companies never implement that.

To sell more storage maybe, I don't see why it always need to record in 4K too and a lot people is like brainwashed and min controlled without knowing they shot in 4K just because people expectation and a lot don't click it on their phone to watch in that res at all

The video itself it’s absolutely gorgeous. The FPV shots and the color grading are all stunning. I just honestly really get frustrated with the misleading titles. I rarely watch your videos nowadays because of them. For example this video, from the title I expected it to be about the A7RV, but it was basically just Iceland travel and you mentioning the AI camera stuff is cool. Or at least that’s how it felt. I click on your videos expecting something and then proceeding to get something completely different. If the title of this video was something about amazing Iceland FPV shots I would’ve clicked on this video and been happy and amazed by what you captured out there. I’m not trying to be mean, I just want to provide some feedback. I look forward to more Iceland content🔥

As a youth sports photographer I have been shooting with the a7riii for several years and have found it to be decent. My only question is, does the a7r5 have anti flicker. Thats a big issue for me due to bad gym and field lighting in youth sports. Have not seen this feature mentioned in any of the review videos. Thanks Matti, love your content.

According the the Sony help guide anti flicker is on the R3? As advanced anti flicker is on the A7IV then I think there is a very good chance it will be on the R5 not only can you turn flicker on and off but you can vary the shutter speed increments. However I feel your pain shooting dance in a hall with natural light, flu tubes and spots… however the anti flicker still struggles to cope with three lighting types all in the same space 😂
