Wow, the 17-50mm seems like a great alternative to the Dzofilm 20-55 which weighs twice as heavy. I'll love it on a gimbal!

I love the idea but I saw a strong focus breathing through the demo, hoepfully the production version has this fixed

I think it’s better to get FF and go into S35 mode. Fast rolling shutter speed.

That quick test seemed to show a ton of focus breathing. Also why can't these me like a 2.4 or 2.6 why a 2.9?

Because they'd be significantly larger and more expensive if they were a faster stop. It seems like the whole point of these is to be compact.

If you want zero focus breathing on a $1700 zoom lens, is not gonna happen too soon, People forget why these lenses are cheap. Remember, these are not made by a Japan or German company, but Chinese. Different type of business models.

this might be a perfect solution for the Ronin 4D yes you would have to use it in super 35 mode limiting yourself to 4K but unless you're shooting and IMAX release you're not dropping it in 6K anyway
