you are just an 1diot spreading propaganda. Are the US sponsored terrorists that took over power better than Assad?
@belligerentinstigator94425 күн бұрын
The reason why people think you work for the CIA is because terrorists just took over Syria, and you cheer for only the toppling of the existing authoritarian government, but ignore who is coming in. There is nothing here to be excited about. If you aren't paid by the US government, then at least don't take what they accept and celebrate on all mainstream media at face value as the whole truth. The starting point is apprehension of what anyone says and piecing it together yourself from various sources. Are we sure the CCP is not easily going to ally themselves with the ex-taliban/ Isis member that took over, just like they allied themselves in Afghanistan with the Taliban?

My parents had traveled in China and my student’s parents stayed with my family when he graduated with honors and was accepted to a prestigious California university. It’s so unfortunate about the current situation as I really worry about him - he was so dutiful to his parents and his educational mission to honor his family . The Syrian conflict was about 1 thing only: a natural gas pipeline from Qatar into Europe. This will crush Russia's monopoly on the European energy market, which is why Russia allied with Assad, because Assad wasn't going to allow that pipeline. Now, that natural gas pipeline is one step closer to becoming a reality. And now, Russia is forced to be even more dependent on China. So in a way, China might still come out a winner in this situation. The CCP might just force Russia to allow Chinese development in Siberia, and Russia might be forced to concede knowing full well that allowing Chinese presence in Siberia will mean someday China will try to take it by force. Russia is losing BIGLY. China, may have lost an ally and lost face with Assad's ouster, but they might still find a way to win in this situation.

I can't see Syria cozying up to Iran because most Syrians are Sunni Muslims. Assad and his clan are Alawite, and they are a small minority of Shia Muslims among mostly Sunnis. Now, you know why Syria had close ties with the Islamic Republic but probably won't from now forward.I can, however, see Syria having close ties with Turkey because the Turks gave so much support to the rebels. Whatever happens, Syria is, and has always been, a very fractured country. Only a brutal dictatorship with a secret police instilling fear into everybody will hold it together. The Israelis, with some of the best intelligence gathering capabilities in the world, know exactly what's up, which is why they are grabbing some extra stips of land in the Golan Heights. The future of Syria does not look good. Now, I'll give China a little tip: Most know that the US gives Israel three billion dollars in aid per year. Half is for military purposes; half is for economics. What most don't know is that the US also gives Egypt and Jordan 1.6M each per year. Both of those countries stay stable. Maybe China can explore this option. Just giving aid to the ruling class and not having the common people benefit from it will not help China's cause.

The presenter up front was hilarious. At least the dude knows not to take himself toooo seriously. And he knows how to eat humble pie. Actually quite a rare thing for YT presenters. Usually when their predictions go horribly wrong, they just continue on and ignore it, and often later try to say that they KNEW it was coming, and predicted it. Predicting ANYTHING on a short term time frame, these days, is almost a fool's errand, frankly. The world has gone farking NUTS, AGAIN. And it can thank that short on both ends, Putin, for most of it.

What I find ironic is that people like Ben Shaprio I think compared Syria being an artificial state that was a by product of WW1. I was like, "Seriously?" I can easily name another state within that region that fits the bill.
@crosslink149324 күн бұрын
@@kosmosXcannon Short version: Israel was formed peacably by a group of Jewish folks in that area under the request of the British who controlled it after WWII and wanted to leave (like the French did). They tried to get the surrounding Arab communities to join in but none would. The jews went ahead with the plan and invited in displaced Jews from Europe and formed Israel. France was controlling the area known as Syria and wanted out (no known resources to exploit), asked the local provincial strongmen who had ruled small areas about working together to form a government, they all refused, so the French forces left and the strongmen fought it out for dominance. 30 years later it ended up in the Assad family's hands.

Another point: these Jewish people got very subversive and schemy in Palestine, and then, with the help of the West, did a sort of a coup. Thus Zionism was born - the belief in the creation of Zion. See more on The Great War - Palestine episode.
