Gday Mate, the Fluttering Dove and I are really enjoying your Lap of Tassie. No crowds this time of year. The place looks great for bikes this time of year, might take a while to get some heat in the tyres though. Old mate John does ok on the big K1600 on the damp dirt roads. My K 16 doesn’t like the dirt bits when it’s loaded up and ‘er indoors on the back. Ride well mate. All good👍🇦🇺🏍️

31:00 Lake Highway is great on a bike but I wouldn't go there in winter. Even in summer you can get snow and hail, although that's not common. It actually happened to me on the climb before you begin the decent into the Deloraine area. Snowing on the way up and hailing on the way down lol. It was a bit hairy but the gopro video was a keeper.

@@shegocrazy I’m not surprised to hear it’s a hairy ride in winter. We left 14 degrees at Poatina and hit 5 degrees within 40 minutes or less, and then rain.

St Helens is a great place for big game fishing in Summer-Autumn. Marlin, swordfish, tuna, shark etc.

Yer, I think $5 was a bit rough I'm more surprised you actually paid said $5 dollars. I found after the 3rd boat ramp you could of surprised us , well with anything else. All in all another gripping video and story. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your trip.

@@grahamcairn8379 What can I say, there are a lot of boat ramps in Tassie and they are mostly situated in beautiful spots. I actually quite enjoyed my five bucks worth of entertainment and it’s a rare sensibly priced museum, most of them want $18-30 for the same type of thing.

@@abitofadetour7315 Well yeah, but then I thought "who'd be silly enough to tour Tassie on a motorbike in winter?" lol. I live in Hobart BTW so I know. I've still got Givi hand sleeves on the bike to keep my hands warm. They are probably coming off next couple of weeks.
