Trust me . There's plenty of Explores on the streets. Just a shit ton of cops so there are equally just as many Crown Vics. LAPD is weak compared to the 80s or 90s. Too many quota driven hires and predictable policing tactics.

You've managed to catch a rare slicktop traffic unit. The giveaway is that it has a rambar installed on it. You also caught one of the rare traffic unit old Chargers with extra lighting on the grille and foglamp area. Based on hubcaps alone, CVPI's are mainly 2008 to 2011's. The traffic unit Charger specifically is a 2007 model based on some details I can see, and the pictures I've found of it.

I heard that before they discontinued the CVPI in 2011 a lot of departments including LAPD and LACSO ordered 100’s of them so that they could continue to reuse the equipment (radio consoles, prisoner cages, etc) for multiple years after. The vehicles are very basic and much easier to maintain then current police vehicles so they have a very loyal base among big departments like those

@gregbach95813 жыл бұрын
Why would we use foreign cars in the USA? It makes sense for Europe to use them because they are cheaper over there due to not having any export fees attached. It makes more sense to buy US made cars over here for the same reason.

Real super souped up job and Mercedes wagons too. Google "Victoria Police BMW" and go to images and you'll see them.

Because they're cheaper where you live, the same reason why US departments use Nissans, Toyotas and Hyundais as their outsider brand vehicle, they use what's cheaper to them.
