taekwondo user taught me that. It really works no matter how big and strong your opponent is unless they are immune to pain.

Jr Kinabalu Nobody not on drugs or already in tons of pain is immune to that kind of pain, and in either case, odds are they aren't in a condition to fight a cold, let alone a grown adult.

As Clint Smith says, "Always cheat, always win." There ain't no 'illegal' technique on the street when your life is on the line.

These techniques are also great to teach to children, to use against bullies.

Great technique. And I'm assuming it's a great entry into the arm drag. Trying that tonight!

I like these sort of techniques. I was once on a site where I asked about soft techniques for situations like Family get togethers where someone had to much to drink and I needed to handle it without starting a family war. I didn't want to gouge eyes or Monkey Steals grapes any of the techniques I learned over the years. I mean you can't go around killing people . I started focusing on Chin Na techniques. This thumb technique falls into the realm of soft but effective tactics that I think should be taught more often not just the Commando techniques that we all learn in Martial Arts Schools. Thank you for the Video.

Love this, I enjoy all the "deadly" stuff, but low level violence ... Golden, Chances are you can use that with a distraction tactic, and out the door you go. For this kind of violence waiting 5 to 30 minutes is usually enough to diffuse the situation. Or just get said uncle a beer ... Problem solved Great video as always!

Nice thing with this tecnique is that you also get control of his wrist so you should easely be able to do an armdrag and come up behind him

Old small joint lock. You can also do it with the same side hand, in this case your right, by wrapping it over the arm holding your collar, grasping the back meaty part of their thumb with your fingers and looping your thumb over and in front of their thumb and squeezing. This leaves your left arm free to block their power hand. This become ineffectual and difficult to pull off if they happen to grab you with a straight thumb, in which case you can do a same side straight thumb lock, by hooking your thumb over their thumb, wrapping your fingers over the last joint of their thumb, and pushing down with your fingers as you pull up with your thumb. As with most finger locks, it ofter works best if you do the lock while pulling their hand forward and down, taking the opponent to their knees or the ground.

This is very similar to a Hapkido technique we use, except we bring the attacker to the ground and pin his arm with our shin to immobilize him.

What if his fist is closed?
@Note-dy6yd3 жыл бұрын
I think going for the arm and shoulder is safer compared to targeting his fist, because when you make yourself busy on his fist, you don't know what the other hand or knee or feet (kick in the ball) are capable of doing. If the grabber has a strong fist, and if you push his thumb from the wrong angle, you may invest the critical nanoseconds to welcome the unpredictable scenarios, making yourself vulnerable to many new assault options that you create for the offender.

You... uh, didn't watch the whole video, did you?
@christianc.christian50252 жыл бұрын
@@batfleckforever3594 Watching the whole video should just tell you how completely useless this is. If the other person just grabs your jacket and does nothing, there’s really no magic technique even needed… because you’re apparently fighting someone who just had a stroke. Even grabbing their wrist is probably going to escalate the conflict past “low level violence,” as he called it.

Another Krav maga spin off, no different from any other Krav classes. Nothing unique what so ever.

um no... with Krav Maga he would have broken his arm, killed him and set him on fire. Or something like that :D
