I bought an amazing piece of fire agate from these guys last year, but had no idea how lucky I was to find them! I didn't take the time to really check out their inventory because it was getting late, and I got what I was looking for. Thanks to your video, I will definitely be looking for them the next time I'm at the Kino Show. 😃

Hiya dave, What a perfect idea to bring this to us, so we know what to look for when we shop there. More importantly, where to find Mr Armandos' stall. For an artist like him and his son to come and share in person like this is an honour. You've shown some of your cabs in the past, Dave and you are good, but I'm sorry, and not to knock you at all, this work is beyond good! If I win the lottery and can come to Tucson one year, I will buy most, if not all, of Mr Armando's stall. I would buy it sight unseen, having seen it through your lens, but I would love to meet you and your contacts and thank you all in person for bringing this artistry to us. Stay safe, Steve...

It's one thing to mention the competitive aspect of cabochon cutting, but you should not misquote the rules. Instead, you supply the link to the AFMS website where the official rules can be downloaded. The number of cabochons differs based on the category. There are 161 competitive categories and 4 different levels of competition. If you do decide to compete, make sure you read the rules (multiple times as they can be confusing) and know what they are for the specific category you are choosing to enter into.
@moxiemcmahon Жыл бұрын
Thanks for this incredible info, we appreciate you commenting. 161 competitive categories amazing! Can the public view the competitors? Because I would love to see that and I'm sure the other channel members would too. Maybe Dave could do a video about the competition so we could get super accurate info? Just a thought. Thanks again! Dave does his very best to always give great and accurate info, but I think people realize things might actually be different in the process of what he says(if people even listen lol) Either way, we love the info so we can course correct! @stephensstones

can you message me personally 772-284-4459n the final points of the competition I want to do it and I want to get all of my friends to do it as well. Thank you so much for your message. I really honor and cherish it.

never, come on down to Tucson and check them out yourself. I like the little guys I like the small venues 😉 I’ll be filming more of the larger venues in all honesty. When I get done with a few more interviews I like to support some of my favorite people by putting out there venues in their booths first to help bringing some business.

@lapidarydave Жыл бұрын
i don’t often buy cabs since i’m a cutter but i have many friends in the industry and try to support everyone it really comes down to who is available at the moment. Sometimes there’s a long waiting list for my friends in Indonesia.
