My condolences, Osmo. Your wonderful craftsmanship and art in this video proves a fitting tribute to the woman who raised such a talented man. As for the blade itself? Another superb creation, of course.

Thank you Jeff! My mother has been in our thoughts so much lately. This was the last knife work she saw in pictures. She always was very keen on 😌 my knife making videos as mothers always do! She had no internet connection though, as old people.. but we had nice moments at her kitchen table on my mobile 💙 Good memories.

I have been watching your videos for years, and I have seen your craftsmanship steadily grow. You used to make very nice knives with sturdy serviceable sheaths. This is a true Master Piece, in the Old Meaning, your proof that you are a Master of your craft. That Leuku is absolutely stunning, and the way you mimicked the grain of the wood in the sheath is absolutely stunning. BRAVO ZULU, as we say in the Navy, well done!!!!!

Absolutely outstanding! So bad that in the moment there are just very very few blades from Mäkinen available. But the piece of curly birch you have used for this knife is the most beautiful piece of wood I have ever seen on a knife! You have made the best out of the materials and you have proven again that you are a master of knife design. Thank you very much for this impressive upload.

@thetopicala7 ай бұрын
I have never made a blade blank, blacksmithing. And I do mention the blade brand on my videos. Luckily there are dozens of skilled blade makers in Finland like Roselli, Puronvarsi, TH-puukot and others. I have chosen to use theirs 👍🏻

Wonderful knife. I really want a leuku but for me I really can’t trust the fact these style knives aren’t full tang. I’d buy one if someone made one. If I’m gonna be wacking down trees and brush I need a full tang absolutely
