Agreed. Having it bee super evasive is great but also puts a target on her. I face this problem in my nine-fingers keene deck. I attack for the trigger but end up killing them to cmdr dmg.

She is a build around deck. Same with Kadena. You keep them off the battlefield and the deck just sucks. I have both decks and I hate it when this happens.

22:53 He already factored in the 1 life from cleric class, that’s why he gained 5 and not 6. The counter goes on after gaining life, so flumph has 4 toughness + 1 = 5.

Actually built Lara myself and only did it "fairly" for myself and it's "not good." I had _no idea_ it hit other player's GY (cuz why would it do that?). Thanks to the folks here and especially Aaron for making me feel dumb.

Actual moral of the story; commander players are generally not good at threat assessment. Rather than preventing to get a situation out of hand, in this game a single commander gets removed over and over like it was a meme.

Why does protection cause the appropriate auras to fall off, but shroud does not? Both say “cannot be the target of…” right?

Auras only target while they're on the stack. After they're on the battlefield they are attached to the permanent they're enchanting but no longer target. Protection specifies that the permanent can't be targeted or enchanted, but shroud says they can't be targeted.

K-9 was the big deal here. Lara can crank out commander damage. I run a voltron and extra attack step version of Lara. K-9 means everyone dies at once.

If Madisson's creatures didn't have vigilance, her creatures would not be untapped for the second extra combat phase (with the exception of Adeline).
