Thank you for reacting to Lara Fabians' version of Adagio. In my humble opinion, NO one can sing this the way she does, she is simply amazing. Apparently, when she was 5 years old, she was in the car with her father, and a song came along on the radio, and she sang it perfectly. Her father stopped the car, turned to her and said "what was that?" She replied by saying : "I'm a singer". Her father asked her "so, you want to be a singer?" She, at 5 years old, replied " No, I AM a singer". When they came home, her father told her mother " honey, we have a problem: We have a singer." The rest is history :)

Exactly. Singing is not a power lifting of voice and vocal range.singers who want to use all their potential on a single song or to flaunt their vocal abilities to audience should learn. No need such strain. Like their mom or dad has died.a perfect singer should knows the massage of the song and the atmosphere and then calibrates all things together. No need to get the song and the music, chock and suffocate it. Here Lara shows the word how to sing and deliver the emotion and tell the btw no one in the word could show the emotion as good as Lara. because I think she is a lovelorn person goes directly in the core of song and sings from the bottom of her heart .she feels all of of song. she is really unique.

I fell in love with Lara when I first heard her sing in Brussels back in the 1990s. She. Is. Incredible. I cannot listen to this song without sensing her passion. You can see how her ability to transmit emotion is something that would catch Dimash's attention. He has that skill by nature but I think listening to Lara helped him refine it. And, yes: the breath at the end, that release of emotion into the air around her ....a stroke of beauty. It is brilliant. Another of her songs that you would like (and that Dimash also sings) is "Ascolta la Voce." Dimash does it as "Know." This version kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZC2gKltoNSHZ6c is clipped by a few seconds in the beginning for some reason but I prefer it over the same version that is mixed with video from her Mlle Hyde movie kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHa6aYelgNd0m7c

You can pronounce it either way is correct. This song has all the desperation to make you, feel. Speaking for myself a song like this allows enough release of internal pressure so I can breathe again. It is a deliciously depressing and freeing emotion that I get. Dimash touches different buttons in me. He is amazement and wonder. Lara is tragedy and hope. Since I have lived most of my life between hopeful and hopeless, this song is perfect. I like your written comments, they match your facial responses. So while watch this and cry and wish I could sing that way, not like girl, but with that kind of emotion and not make peoples ears bleed. I would tend to react like you where the music would make me forget people might be watching. You do it well, I am afraid that giant crocodile tears and a running nose wouldn't play nearly as well. Well I'll leave you alone for a while. On to torment another reactor.

Is it any wonder that Lara has had such a dramatic impact on Dimash Kudaibergen who has obviously taken on her 'in the moment style', never once braking the emotional magnetic journey. This is story telling through music that never once lets up leaving an audience completely and utterly spent right up until with that last perfect note is uttered This is Lara's trademark. Recognize beloveds, that the magnetics of the Emotional body, and the feeling 'sense-sations' it generates in it's listeners, IS the language of the soul. Emotions, when Divine Will is allowed to come through unimpeded by Lara, never breaking once during Lara's sublime story-telling fashion, magnetically ensnares, and pulls it's listeners, completely enthralled, along a magical journey that elicits such sublime moments, as to induce what I call climatic, emotional orgasms. The physical body in these perfect moments is simply incapable of hold such intensity's of Love that this vibrational energy simply results in an uncontrollable overflow of involuntary reactionary tears. Such incredible tenderness. This is 'Love', the cosmic glue that holds all Creation together. This 'Love' as generated in the Heart, is what makes people's hair stand on end when they recognize that they are in the presence of a divinely inspired Master. And this, to me, is the ultimate aim and purpose of all Great musical performances. These 'Gold Light Spirits', champions of Divine Will Herself, have always known that music can heal 'EVERYTHING'! Lara's music; her signing, does just that and more!

Another Adagio victim. :D This concert was so representative of Lara at the paramount of her career. Don't get me wrong, she's still going strong, almost 20 years after this particular show, and she still gets me performing Adagio (and other songs) live in the recent years. But late 90s-early/mid 00s, she was kicking it like crazy. Nowadays, her voice matured, aged, changed a tad, but she also added more technique, so she is not singing as powerful as before. She doesn't need to anymore actually. She can reach her audience with more refined, subtle notes nowadays. That being said, as probably listed by others before me, you can react to You're not from here, from the same concert. But more importantly, react to Broken Vow, from that show. It's another iconic song for Lara. The orchestra, the way Lara is delivering the song, it's jaw dropping.

He is a classically trained vocalist, who also plays around 10 instruments, and he writes music. I appreciate him making changes to a song he is covering, because it allows him to honor the original, but also make it his own.

Lara among the world-class elite. Many consider her the best female vocalist in the world because she can belt them in 12 different languages ( youtube “Lara sings in 12 languages”) and if you think she lacks the ability to do riffs and runs you are sadly mistaken ( please youtube the video “ is Laura Fabian the best vocalist in the world” and near the conclusion she performs some remarkable riffs and runs!! As good as anyone!! But another reason for this is to inform you and your listeners a female vocalist who I believe is the one of the best female recognizable vocalists in the world and I know before you react to her ( she goes by her first name EIVOR) you probably think I’m crazy and that I lost my mind ( and I do lose my mind every time Eivor performs. My mind vanishes and the floodgates my heart open up. When you have a few moments , I’d like for you( or your audience who is reading this) to respond to a virtually unheralded unknown female vocalist who I chanced upon about a month ago. I am so lucky to have discovered her! If you like angelic , mystical, heavenly female vocalists with a recognizable voice and a high vocal range, then it’s your lucky day! She goes by the name “ Eivor” She’s from the small Faroe island and when she announces a concert virtually the whole island of about 600 show up. She has an angelic voice so unique , so mystical , so magical, so entrancing so hauntingly beautiful that if you ( or your subscribers) react ( no one will recommend her so I hope you will react privately ) to the following 6 performances after which you will become an avid fan and utter to yourself “ why on God’s earth is she not famous??). You’ll want to subscribe to her website where she will enthrall and mesmerize and entrance you with about 40 more songs ( a mixture of live aund MV’s and she is one of the few world class vocalists who is as good or better performing live. Please KZbin the following 6 live performances ( first 4 from her small island , the 5th ( “True Love” live from LA ) and the last in Denmark in front of thousands with full orchestra performing for the Queen Of Denmark!). Here they are Eivor “ free falling” ( the one that’s 6:47 duration.. it’s in English ) You will love her and her band. It’s on the island but inside I believe a restaurant seating capacity ( when the camera panned the audience) probably 300 lucky lucky souls to witnessed this beyond amazing performance. She put it on KZbin about 5 years ago and very few views and likes. If she performed it in America and there were 50,000 in attendance , all 50,000 would be screaming and yelling for a long time during and after the performance. The strobe lightening, camera work, her otherworldly vocal is beyond belief. Near the end she hits a sustained high note for over 10 seconds of that few vocalists can reach and sustain. Watch the drummer go insane! “Eivor trollabundin” ( first vid 5:44). ( from the Faroe Islands and trollabundin meaning ‘spellbound’ and all who watch this amazing. Video in her native language will be spellbound.). Wish I was there outdoors sitting with the audience. Great tribal primordial vibes. Atmospheric mesmerizing hypnotic recognizable vocal prowess. The island’s backdrop scenery of mountains and rivers are breathtakingly beautiful and enhance this mystical magical performance. Eivor “ Wake me Up” ( 7:11 duration) in English with accompanying band and she SLAYS it with celestial high notes and emotional impact. It’s about her longing to wake up from this earthy dream and reunite with love or a lover that left her with this heart-wrenching longing. ( and oh boy does her voice scale the ethereal heights). Watch her drummer go insane. Excuse my excitement but whenever I discover a relatively unknown but world class vocalist, I love to share. ~ “Eivor sofar True Love” ( live in LA... about 200 lucky lucky people in the audience. Near the end she SOARS into the celestial realm ) Evior “verd min live” (4:41 duration ... pure angelic rendition. This song in her native langauge will send you to where angels tread. Finally, “Evior may it be “ ( Lord of the Rings) in front of thousands with full orchestra and the Queen of Denmark! incredible, mystical, celestial , will transport you to a higher realm). After the final note the camera pans to the upper deck where you see the Queen clapping along with thousands of others. Again, no one will recommend but if by chance you or your audience have about a half hour to an hour to spare and you watch these 6 incredible live performances, and like her voice and unique style, please tell your friends to watch. She deserves a larger worldwide audience, don’t you think? All love from SOBE ( South Beach, Florida where I reside) Al

She took the incomplet melody of this 2 centuries song and wrote a lyric. That's how Adagio starts in her hands (Lara's version), back in 1999. She is able to hold this ending note over 17 seconds. She just did it for 8 seconds here, which was pretty much easy for her. But too hard for many of our mainstream singers. PS: Lara is too methodic, too professional as an artist/performer/ to go beyond her vocal limits, she goes near the edge and come back. Some people like this particular way of hers, some would like to see how could be if she dared much more.... beyond her limits. But, she already said something like that:I just can't do what is too much for my body, I prefer being healthy for a longer in my life. Thanks.

When you are ready to add another world-class artist to your review portfolio, check out So Hyang ( a South Korean female artist), singing "Bridge over Troubled Waters". She is right up there with Dimash and Lara.

@@JennThePandaa Thanks for the update. Have you heard of a Philipino artist by the name of Marcelito Pomoy? Here is a video that will leave you going, "What, What, no way". [Marcelito Pomoy The Prayer (Celine Dion Andrea Bocelli) LIVE on Wish 107.5] Thanks for your comments.

Lara is, quite literally, the part-owner of this song. Every time it is performed in public, she is supposed to get royalties. A lot of people wrote lyrics for this music during the last half of the 20th century, but her lyrics are the words that finally stuck in everyone's mind and soul. A great achievement.

@@jiadayong687, Dimash is better than what??? No Rhythm, No Beat, No Gospel, and No Blues. That is a good definition of Dimash.

She pronounces Adagio as everyone should do since it's a italian word (literally means slowly and it's also one of the "time signatures") but I understand that for a non-italian is hard to do (I wrote this comment thx to google and something you can understand maybe but I guess if I were to do talking, few would be able to understand my words).
