Mark Anthony!...Please don't place all Americans in this bubble of which you speak...I'm American and to me, Lara Fabian is the best female vocalist ever! They talk of the vocal trinity which includes Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Celine Dion...well in my opinion Lara should be there instead of Celine. Don't get me wrong! I'm a fan of Celine! She's amazing! But Lara Fabian is better! I've heard Lara being referred to by the French half that like Lara as a Celine with soul! Lara speaks more languages and sings more languages, proficient on the piano, plus she writes alot of her own stuff of which Celine admits that she doesn't!...okok..getting sidetracked here...sorry! My point is, don't put all Americans down for ignorance! Many of us are paying attention and are aware of beautiful music outside of our borders! Thank you

She speaks 4 languages: Italian, French, English and Spanish. She can also understand Dutch and speak a little bit of ot because of her father !

@@gabys4953 Four languages is correct. You are wrong when it comes to understanding German (Deutsch). You mean Dutch. Belgium has two official languages, Dutch in Flanders and French in Wallonia. Brussels (capital) is bilingual. Her father will speak Dutch and French as a (former) resident of Brussels. Her mother is of Italian (Sicilian) descent. Lara lived in Sicily until she was 6 years old. Moreover, many Flemish people (Dutch-speaking) generally speak both Dutch and French. Because Belgium is centrally located and because of the many international relations, English is the third language that is widely used. Because Germany is also a major trading partner, there are many Flemish people who have no problems with a fourth language, in this case German. It is not at all uncommon for a Belgian to master several languages. Although German and Dutch are related languages, it is certainly not easy to understand each other in their own language. The same case occurs with Spanish and Italian, which are also related.

Its a personal belief of mine that a certain high profiled singer's manager/husband used his influence to block her advancement here in the US! No proof...just bits and pieces I've gathered leading me to that conclusion

I've met Lara last november, during her concert in Paris. She is absolutely not the woman you all believe she is. She certainly knows how to sound like a precious woman, and probably is sometimes. I will give her that she is one of the most gifted singer this world has ever known, she is full of knowledge related to her instrument, but also, she can be full of herself. I've been following her since FOREVER, I used to praise her, but Lara and I both went separate ways since a decade, since she started doing nonsense with her choices. And believe me, I loved her. A part of me still does, but not the fake singer she's become, NO.
