It's about a morphine addiction. Each time a man takes a dose he travels to a unknown world and meets this woman ( Lara). He cannot live without her anymore. He must see her again and again until... I won't spoil it for you...

"That's one of the most beautiful song performed by Massimo Ranieri, I just can hear my Mum singing it" Massimo Ranieri perdere l 'amore 1988 he won the Italian music festival "Sanremo" with this song, that is a epic one in Italy, from south to north . Everybody knows it, everybody sing it (even Lara' mum, and Lara was 18 years old at that time and she did already start her career as a singer) and a lot of people did cover it. That's a hard song to sing, Massimo Ranieri is a great singer and has a very powerful and passionate voice , and Lara just nailed it. Amazing version, even Massimo Ranieri himself did compliment with Lara a lot after this cover. And she is just great, masterclass breath control and perfect pitch, amazing dynamic and interpretation, perfect Italian diction. She put a lot of passion and interpretation, you can clearly see her eyes and facial expression, of course she knows the meaning of lyrics and put the right color at them . She is a masterclass storyteller, she is not singing by memory she is living this song. Perdere L' amore means "Losing Love" and talks about the end of a relationship in advanced age, and the insecurity and darkness it leaves in your soul, but also talks about the hope to win that love back one day.. Hands up for the amazing resonance she has, expecially on final vowels, her melisma on the chorus in key change before the guitar solo is just extraordinary.. Masterpiece, masterclass. Hats off for this beautiful amazing Queen. ❤

I commented on one of her videos that I stumbled on a reaction by someone to Jesuis Malade and watched her for the first time. What caught my eye first was that on the screen was one of the most beautiful women I had seen in a long time. Now that I have watched just about every video available of hers out there, I realize she is also one of the classiest female singers out there also. And then there is the voice. Love your reactions to Lara Fabian performances. I've been fortunate over the years to have seen Lara in concert (12 times now) in many different venues over the years. Lara does project a subtle, smoldering sexuality if you will at times. A great example is Tango Mi Amor.
