No. That is not something that opticians in the US do.

Glad your channel has gotten away from all the "technicalities". Let's face it, the Opticians' main job is to close the sale.

Gotta seriously disagree with you... the opticians job is to build the skill set and knowledge base to be able to close the sale on great fitting, comfortable glasses that meet their customer's needs. No, the consumer doesn't need all those "technicalities" but the optician sure as heck does. This may seem different from what we have been covering but even fitting frames is part of an opticians technical skill set - something that has to taught/learned/practiced.

@@LaramyKOpticalI don't agree either. If I feel an optician (or any merchant) only wants to close the sale, I will run. If the optician does not have the answers to my questions, I will doubt about his/her skills. Seriously. Sometimes the clients themselves want more of those "technicalities". Sometimes I feel like all I'm told is: this is what you need, shut up and give me your money. But wait ... No! I want to know how it's made, how it works. What are the differences between the products. I need to know what I'm paying for. I want to make the best decision. There are several videos on the Web, but most of them are very marketing (especially the big "E" ones). I haven't seen anything better than Laramy-K Optical to answer my questions.
