Entering Mexico by motorcycle at the Laredo/Nuevo Laredo border crossing. Expecting to go through a toll gate, the rider was surprised to be allowed in Mexico without being stopped and asked to produce a passport. (He did have to go back after the video to stamp his passport and get the motorcycle registered and insured.)
Slow TV experience is here! Watch this video as if you are the rider. Sit back, take in the sites, and don’t deal with any distractions. Subscribe to our KZbin channel... many more videos to be added really soon! Also, check us out (and subscribe) on Instagram @steelbreezeventures.

Next time you drive thru,Stop by for a visit,a rest or a chat , I live 2 blocks away from bridge #2 , I'm a Texan raised in SLC,Utah and Boise Idaho, now retired and relocated down here, and yeap, it's freaking safe down here, honestly, I've been living down here in all over Mexico for the past 6 yrs and I've received nothing but love, respect and friendship down here , something I've never received"UP THERE" !! ✌️LUV Y'ALL✌️

in my personal life ... I honestly said it , if I wasnt safe or happy down here y'all think I'm stupid enough to be down here ??? ... 😂 ... ahahhaha heck no !! freaking luv it down here, what's not to love, everything is waaay cheaper ... rent , food , clothing , shoes .... the cost of living is outrageously awesome , I meen , I rent a 2 bedroom apartment ,fully furnished ,in the middle of downtown on the bordertown I live in and live in the middle of the 2 international bridges we gotts here in town which are like 5 blocks from each other , which I can go to the states when I want to and only go up there 3-4 times a year , and I only pay $200 dllrs a month and that includes all bills paid and imma talking about fully furnished apartments , ain't no way me or any of you all can rant or live in a place for $200 bucks back home ... plus everything is way cooler than up there, logically u don't have to be down here to look for trouble, down here if u don't bother the cartel dudes they won't even bother you at all and even wave goodbye when they drive by 👋🏻😬✌🏻 ... plus my Medical Pot ,plus beer ,tequila, burgers , fried chicken , and food in general is outrageously way cheaper and better down here , and even my meds , they're cheaper down here at full price than me paying "the deductible" back home ... the only way y'all ever get me to go back to my beloved USA , the so called ✌🏻the home of the free,✌🏻 is to ..... naaaa fk it , I'mma staying down here we're I REALLY HAVE FREEDOM !! ✌🏻 LUVS Y'ALL AND IF YALL EVER GO TO VEGAS, SAY HELLO TO WAYNE NEWTON FOR ME, WE USED TO BE NEIGHBORS BACK HOME IN LOGANDALE, NEVADA !! ✌🏻💚😚💨💚✌🏻

I"m originally from Laredo, and my parents house is very close to your starting point. Growing up there we used to cross back and forth so often as we have a lot of family on both sides of the border. But lately is dangerous in Nuevo Laredo, our relatives tells not to go anymore as we are consider strangers in the neighbor hoods. Sad that it is like that now!

Hi Walrus Pack, Thanks for watching. According to the feedback, there seems to be a little debate to determine if Nuevo Laredo is safe. I was just riding through and getting the motorcycle registered. During that short time, I did meet some friendly and helpful people. So, my experience has been positive and I felt safe. If it actually is a dangerous city, I hope things change so that you, locals and visitors feel safe again. Cheers!

No mexican authorities around, is a quick extortion to get money. I was lucky and I get away by using defense driving i try to get back to USA but they block me and i drive in a wrong way just to get to Mexico immigration . Around 7am the state police showed up and I could drive away from nuevo laredo by groups.. The police just said do not cross before 8AM... There aren't any real checks when crossing into Mexico by land from the US, and when crossing back into the states it's not so difficult as long as you have a local border crossing card or local Texas Id, having been in guangdong I find it a lot more tedious to cross just from the Chinese mainland into Hong Kong or macau, getting passport stamped , filling out departure and arrival cards etc , when you exit the US into Mexico by land there's none of that crap, I was surprised Hong Kong and Macau are supposed to be the same country together with china , they treat them like completely separate entities

You do not need a passport to cross into Nuevo Laredo, but if you travel more into Mexico like Monterrey, Ciudad de Mexico, or any other city that is not a border city, then you do need a passport and a permit to travel into Mexico.

It's scary on the Mexican border side coming into us and i almost missed the Sevond traffic. Light that you do the you turn on that's cause I dont speak or read Spanish. To all you people, dont go in the evening or at night, it's pretty intense and very dangerous. I'm back home now drove 7 hours and I'm relieved.

I was supposed to go in their office to show my passport and papers to the Immigration and Custom officers. What this video doesn't show is that I had to go back and meet officials to get my passport stamped and get a Temporary Vehicle Import Permit for the motorcycle at the Banjercito.

Thanks for the feedback. It was actually a place recommended by people in the know... plus it was done very early in the day. I’m sure there are dangers in many places, but we can’t let fear dictate all action. Cheers!

FYI.

Thanks for watching and commenting. I wasn’t there long and my reasons were merely to travel to continue on to Monterrey. I’m wondering, why do you think a guy on a motorcycle would be in danger of being kidnapped easily?

She liked, the money she saw.You probably had more even there, then she makes in 1 yr. But,i wouldnt do what you did,in a million yrs. Show, even a hundred dollars,to a stranger there, and your chances are 50/50 to see the usa again. I know im laying it on a bit,and i visited mexico in eighties, never had any problem, and i like mexicans, but the out of control gangs changed everything. And Mexicos poverty grew so much worse. Hopefully, the new mexican president, committed to all the people not just for the most powerful and rich,is chsnging things.

I'm from northern Mexico , It's hard to understand how so many people actually think Mexico is worse off now than say , the 80s , when the country's economy was dependent on fossil fuels and anual inflation was almost at 200% when the prices of oil collapsed, the economy was run by the state including banks and airlines , only rich people were able to afford air travel , there were very few intercity expressways , honestly if it weren't for the drug violence it'd be a quite pleasant place to live and even then it's not as bad as people outside think it is .

LOL.. sorry, I know this is old but she was only talking about the weather, and believe me she sees A LOT of people in a day to notice their money. Thousands of people go through that bridge every single day. Come on, lets not think every single person in Mexico is part of a gang 🙄
