We do a family closet as well in our Laundry room, I got the idea from the duggers. It actually only has the youngest 4 kids clothing . Oldest 4 finally do their own laundry and they are tidy and organized and put their clothes in their own space now. I also wanted to do this because they would dump all clean clothes onto the floor and mix. Clean and dirty. It also makes the great clothes switchover of seasonal clothes so much easier. Can't wait to see your new little one. Stay safe.

These are some great ideas especially as our family is looking to move and we may need to get creative with bedrooms and closets. I’ve paired down the clothes a lot of the potty trained kids which really helps me stay organized and get the laundry done. Thanks for the inspiration!

We went to all the clothes in master bedroom when we had our 2nd and I wouldn't go back. When we house hunt, I am often excited by houses with goos possibilities for family closet space. Each of our kids has 1 dresser. Until recently, everything they had had to fit in their dresser. The girls' dresses are getting too long and its getting harder to fit their sweatshirts so I will probably be giving up most of my tiny bit of the master for those. It is so nice to bring all laundry to one spot to put away. Even when we look at homes with bigger kid rooms, we assess it knowing we want one family closet/clothes space. Thanks for the tour!!

This organization is genius! So organize sized like a store categorized in size! Very Impresive :) i only have two and am overwhelmed with laundry and I can't imagine how you keep all of your families up to date. Do you do a little per day?? If I let it go for a week it takes me hours to complete ugh! It's my nemesis lol

And avoid it at all costs! 🤣 the older three girls do their laundry once a week (one load all together) our oldest son does his and our 6yr old son’s together (when I see their basket full I tell them to do it and the fold and put it away and by gold I mean throw in their bins 🤪) next daughter is 8 and she does hers. (Again when I remind her) I do myself and my husband and the little 3. 🤣

Julie Stombaugh we use to have a playroom and we recently converted it to a bedroom for our oldest 3 daughters. We purged a ton!!! Some toys are kept in our kids room and most of the toys are kept in one of their closets... I do have a few videos sharing this. ❤️❤️❤️ I’ll link them below.

I live in a pretty spacious apartment and we have two walk in closests that happen to be in one of the kids rooms (its the girl room so far we only have one daughter) and so far with only 4 kids we only utilize one for clothes and keep toys on the floor. I was considering getting the boys a wardrobe for their bedroom but then I worry it might just take unnecessary room in there even though its large and plenty of room for the 3 boys so far. Seeing this makes me want to just keep the boys clothes in the closet and maybe consider just getting plastic drawers so they can pick out what they will wear for the day and keep them in their bedroom so they don't have to go into their sister's room in the morning hummm. I ve been thinking of doing a family closet, I love the idea. But I do it kind of like you, boys in one closet, 3 girls in another closet and then my 2 girls in the basement share a big closet.

Our oldest 5 do their own laundry... the older girls do it on Saturday (their choice) the other kids I tell them when I see their basket overflowing and my husband and I when I do it 🤣 same for little kids when their basket is full. I don’t like laundry!

I used to know a lady when my daughter was at school (32 year ago.) All she had to do was iron her husband's pants & she got pregnant. I think she had 8 children. She got 4 boys 4 girls in order.

In the laundry room in a basket... we have various sizes of only black socks! Kids grab and go as they need.

I love this set up. However. Your girls have way to many items of clothing. I had four children each child had six outfits seven days of underwear and pjs. It made me keep on top of laundry and meant that there was never a huge mess. Once they started school they had uniform additional to their other clothes.
