Today I'm sharing my large family Dollar Tree Christmas Haul that includes stocking stuffers for lots of kids and gift ideas! You'll see candy, Dollar Tree toys, Christmas gift wrap, books, and more.
I also share the birthday party decorations I picked up for two of the boy's birthdays. As a special bonus, I share my fun homeschool book haul for a local thrift store, too!

I love your passion for books! In our house we never met a book we didn't love. We have books, books and more books! I may even have some books to send your way once we get into moving storage units and paring down. Now that the girls are grown I know I have some things your bunch would love!

I came from a family of 8 kids, and I used to do the stockings for all of us (I'm the oldest girl). This brings back so many memories! I used to wrap each individual item to make it even more fun! I hear so many parents complain about buying stocking stuffers for their kids, like you said, referring to it as 'junk,' but we loved that kind of stuff. In fact, my siblings say what they remember most were the stockings.

We always have stockings in my house and we even have stockings for my nieces and nephews (whose parents don’t do stockings at home). There’s something about a lot of little things that makes them so giddy, even more than the big gifts lol

I remember when my siblings and I were younger, we were "allowed" to get up at 5am and open our stockings, as long as we didn't wake our parents. Then after breakfast & chores we could open our other gifts. God bless you buying for all your beautiful children. I only buy for 2 young adults now and that was challenging. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁

I grew up in Brazil having a humble and many times no Christmas present for Christmas. I like to give my kids in the United States a big Christmas and I send money to my family so they can have a good Christmas too💕 we do what we can it is a fun time💕💕

Dollar Tree and 99 Cent Store are my go to stores for stocking stuffers and party supplies..works out wonderfully for the younger set..as you get to the pre-teen or teen boys, it's just pens, and snacks/treats that can be found there..Still overall, a good deal of items can be checked off your list there. I too check the thrift stores for gently used books and also have found a few new crafting kits at the thrift store that made a great bonus gift..Looks like your kids have lots to look forward to😁

Nice! I have never heard of opening stockings on Christmas Eve. I spent too much on stockings this year 😬 but I love filling stockings. My sister and I still get a stocking from my parents lol 😂 and my sister and I always fill our parents’ stockings with goodies.

ArmindaHeart my kids still got stockings from me until they were about 20 now their partners do them, but I loved wrapping the little parcels up individual and they always had a banana and satsuma, they loved them and still reminisce about them now and they have their own babies so I get to make for the babies I love it lol xx everyone gets a Christmas Eve present even now but the grandbabies get the presents on Christmas Day lol

My 2 sons are always allowed one pressie Xmas eve too...im a big kid, I get so excited, even tho I know what's in the stockings lol...we have Poundland and Poundworld here in the U.K, but the quality of stuff doesn't look as nice as dollar tree to be honest. Obviously some items are brand names & household/bedroom/bathroom / decor is ok. Toys are abit naff, so i tend to stick to puzzles, cards, marbles,colouring etc.. .we do have other stores that a cheap too with lovely bits and bobs for £1 or under/over.

We have a warehouse book sale near us that is open every weekend. EVERYTHING is $1! You may have to dig and it’s hit or miss, but it’s huge and you can find amazing stuff there.💗

Great haul video! I just stocked up on stocking stuffers at Dollar Tree this week too for my younger kiddos who still do stockings-they have so much fun opening them. You did great w/ your selection! What a blessing to have a place to get such fun items for so cheap, right?! :) I have one who has loved cooking/baking since she was around Amelia's age (she's 13 now!) and she now has her own baking channel on youtube (she also has a lot of food allergies so it gets a little tricky but she's making it work)! L:) that is a GREAT deal for Spelling Power! We've used that since the get go with all our kiddos (my oldest is a senior) and it has been great! We don't really follow their method of studying missed words and such, more just use it as lists to go off of, but its worked wonderfully so far! That pop up book was AMAZING! What a cool find!! I love these hauls-keep 'em coming!

We love Gary Paulsen. My son's two favorite booms from the Hatchet series are Hatchet and Brian's Return. He's 13 and still gets excited when we decide to go back and read those again. Looks like a whole lotta fun will be had with all of those dollar tree goodies. P.S. the dollar tree gets me every time I always say I won't spend more than a certain amouny when I go in there, yeah right three times that amount usually.

We do a family present on Christmas Eve. It's usually a board game or a puzzle. Something that the whole family can do after church services (we go to early mass instead of midnight mass).

I buy all wrapping paper at DT except for Christmas, because I go through so much that it ends up being cheaper to buy the larger rolls from Walmart or Target.

Spelling Power has helped my daughter begin to retain spelling words. I do not follow the method exactly as prescribed in the book but the pre-test then study only what is missed method works for her brain. She spends about 3 days working with the 3-5 words missed then she tests and moves on. I do use some of the tips provided for practice and they are sticking!

Some books that my boys really really like right now are Dragonoligy and Pirateoligy and the Discovery of Dragons. I know dragons! But once I weighted the choices of letting them choose what they wanted and what I'd pick and they'd never read...i just wanted them to choose to read!! Theyre 8 and 6. My daughter is all about Jillian Jiggs. Its so nice that they care about books. Thats one thing i can never pass by in any store. I have to at least look.
