Welcome to my HUGE Christmas Haul from Costco for our large family Christmas 2018! In today's Costco haul I share the toys I bought for six of our eight children ages 12, 9, 7, 5, 3 and 1. I also share our large family Christmas budget for 2018 including how we've budgeted for Christmas over the last 20 years.

I think 1300 between 8 kids is good. That is roughly 168 bucks a kid. I don’t think anyone should judge anyone for what they spend. If you have the money you should be able to spend whatever. I have one kid and her birthday is 9 days before school. We spend a lot on her too, but it’s our choice. You are doing an amazing job.

I really do think you're an exceptionally great mom. Of course, people love their families and kids. But your different in that your passion is in being a mom, and it shows in your patience, nurturing, thoughtfulness, and overall excellent parenting. You inspire your children's creativity and praise their individuality. I love that you give your children a gift of great parenting which is absolutely priceless.

$1300 breaks down to like $162 per kid.... sounds 100% reasonable to me! We spent $260 on my son (3.. 4 in June) because it’s his last Christmas as an only child... any other year our budget is around $125-$150 per kid. 😌

Christmas isn’t about how much you spend. It’s about being with those you love! Also your kids only know Christmas how you do it so I say never feel bad. Each kid seems like they got plenty. I think you actually got more for your buck by doing Costco because looking at that table I would have guessed around 2000-2200 honestly! Love your family so much! Merry Christmas to y’all!

I keep my budget $100 per kid. That's toys,stocking stuffers,pajamas. I have a 9m and 3yo. My parents do big Christmas for all 6 grandkids, my in laws are separate and do their Christmases the weekend before Christmas and New Years Eve and my kids are the only grandkids so they go all out. I dont buy throughout the year either outside of birthday and Easter. Too much clutter and distracts them for being content with the blessings they have. It does make me happy seeing them open presents and play with it all year. Makes my heart warm

@@serobinson1 I have a long way to go with teens but I do plan on buying and saving throughout the year as they get older. I plan to increase my budget and switch to the 1 big present thing my parents did for me as a kid. Made me really think if I wanted something. The year I got a gameboy color I was so happy. I played it 4 years straight until it broke. Only on weekends. It was well worth the $150 at the time.

So true. My children are getting older so I spend about 800-1k. However this year I had a 500 dollar budget and I wanted to get them more, but I couldn’t. I would spend thousands if I had it. That’s just how I am. They are happy with anything, it’s just me feeling down about it.

I love that Naomi crochets! My grandmother taught me the basics before she passed away when I was a child. I have taught myself more via KZbin since. It’s such a fun and useful hobby! As for the rest of the video - I think I need to go to Costco and scout out books! Thanks for the idea. I only have one child (she’s 10), but we still do Christmas on a budget. Her’s is usually $150ish. I’m a social worker, and my husband produces TV commercials. Although we both love our jobs, and are able to meet all our needs, with our incomes we have to plan budgets and save for stuff like Christmas and birthdays. Personally, I think it’s still plenty for kids. Our daughter always seems thrilled with what she receives.

I think that’s a great budget you have! Of course $1300 sounds like a ton but you have 8 children! I have a 2 year old son and an almost 8 year old step daughter (who is also into the LOL stuff) and our budget was up to $100 each. I think I came in around $75 for each. I find it easier at their ages especially my two year old with the budget but I’m sure it’ll get more difficult as the kids get older! I can get away with yard sale finds at their ages still :) So fun watching your hauls!

My 8 year old is hooked on hatchimals. And I’ve been trying to score the deals because they are expensive. We also do a set budget per kid and as they get older it gets more complicated. And people will always have opinions on what you should spend on your kids. We all do what we can for our kids and what we consider fair. I’ll be curious to see how much your kids like the writing tablets. I’ve been thinking about getting them for my kids.
