In this weeks video, I travel into the Mojave Desert with my large format camera. My goal is to photograph a moving train in low light on 8x10 film.

I was so anxious when the train was arriving and you were casually taking light readings 😂

As a SLR user, taking the shot without looking through the view finder is almost unimaginable to me. Great work!

Hiked up a Mississippi bluff a couple weeks ago. Needed crampons and hiking poles to reach the top. Got some nice photo's and video of a very long train. The train kept a comin' Used a 5D with the 17-40 and circular polarizer. Waiting to meet a train crossing the Arcola High bridge. Last summer ran into a medium format film guy who drove al the way up from Omaha for the bridge, said he does railroad photography for a living.

Thank you! I was considering the 600mm but I can always crop in. I think it will look best printed large.

Hello!your video is so amazing! About the details of the photos. And I have a question about format, I don't know how to chose between medium or lager...

Hello! What do you like to photograph? It all depends on the final print. How large are you going to be printing? In large format, I recommend 4x5. You can comfortably enlarge up to 40x50”.
